Uday Marakini, one of the most respected film journalists of Sandalwood, will start writing for Chitraloka.com from Sunday. In his 25 years of film journalism, this will be Uday Marakini's first regular column and his first foray into writing exclusively for an Internet portal. Fondly nicknamed 'Uma' he has used that name for many of his writings over the years. Over the decades, Marakini has worked for Aragini group, Samyukta Karnataka, Kannada Prabha and worked as the programming head of Suvarna News channel. His contribution to journalism as well as his writing for films and television serials has given him an insight into Sandalwood and its players that is unparalleled.
