After six weeks of good showing, Bigg Boss was affected last week. There was a noticeable drop in TRP for the celebrity reality show due to heightened competition from not just IPL, which has seen a jump in viewers, but also from the Assembly elections.

‪The total GRP for Bigg Boss last week from Monday to Thursday was 48.34. The Bhima Bigg Boss Super Saturday with Sudeep had 11.41 TRP but the Unseen Episode had only 6.03 points. Even the Bhima Bigg Boss Vaarada Kathe Kichchana Jote had ratings of 13.81. The seven day total for Bigg Boss was 79.61. In couple of weeks it were more than 100.

However with the elections over the audience is likely to return from news to entertainment. But IPL will continue for three more weeks and could affect all entertainment programmes.
