The Kannada film fans are sure in for a treat for the next one month as many of Kannada's big budget films as well as much hyped films are getting released in the next one or one and half months. The real reason for such a big rush is nothing but the IPL and the exam fever. While the exam season starts from March end, the IPL season will start from April. Both are a big threat to the film industry and many makers have decided to release their films before that.
The first among such films was 'Crazy Star' which was released on the Valentines Day. This week will witness Murali starrer 'Ugram' releasing all over. Vijay starring 'Shivajinagar' being directed by P N Satya will be releasing on the 27th of March. Pradeep starrer 'Rangan Style' being directed by debutante Prashanth is also likely to be released on the same day. Ganesh Starrer 'Dil Rangeela' being directed by Preetham Gubbi and Chiranjeevi Sarja starrer 'Chandralekha' directed by Omprakash Rao are expected to be released on the first week of March. 'Ulidavaru Kandanthe' which was scheduled for a February end release has been postponed to the second week of March.
Meanwhile, many small films like 'Agraja', 'Hara', 'Just Love', 'Karodpathi', 'Sadagara', Chaturbhjua and others are also in the pipeline and waiting for release. With such a big rush of release, the main problems that the makers have to face is the availability of theaters. Big budget and much anticipated films look for big theaters and there is a big shortage of theaters in KG Road. So, there will definitely be a lot of confusion and commotion regarding the theaters in the coming days.
What will happen next is yet to be seen?
