Baraguru Ramachandrappa's Kannada film Angulimala has been selected to be screened at the Kolkata International Film Festival and the Rafi Peer 3rd Pakistan International Film Festival. The Kolkota Film Festival starts on November 10, while the Rafi Peer festival is from December 27.
Baraguru says that Angulimala is the first Kannada film to be screened in Pakistan. The film, on the conversion of murderer Angulimala into a good man by Lord Buddha is also a take on the modern terrorism problem and its screening in Pakistan has special meaning, Ramachandrappa said. Raghu Mukherjee plays Buddha and Saikumar, Angulimala, in the film produced by BK Srinivas.
