For the first time in the history of Kannada cinema a big function was organised where musical legends of the entire Indian film industry was honoured. The select few who were present during the function were the lucky ones who enjoyed the great music maestro Dr. P.B. Sreenivos sharing space with Padmabhushan P.Susheela, hugely talented singer S. Janaki and musical legend Dr. S.P.Balasubramanyam and getting honoured too by a team headed by an enterprising producer Venkatappa and a talented lyric writer and music director K.Kalyan. And Kannada film industry's best known lyricists Geethapriya and C.V. Shivashankar were also felicitated during the occasion. Tallam Nanjunda Shetty, President of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce and Sa. Ra.Govindoo, Vice President of the KFCC were present in the function to wish the team.
The occassion was the audio album release of the hugely expected Kannada film Ganga Cauvery produced by Venkatappa. Dr. S.P.Balasubramanyam along with the other famous play back singers released the audio album which revived nostalgic memories about these well known singers many a times. And not to be left out in his histrionic talents, S.P.B showed his other face of flamboyance on many occasions during the function.
All the musical talents were quite excited during the function and complimented K.Kalyan and Venkatappa for bringing them to Bangalore and felicitating them on this momentous occasion. And they were also wishing the entire Ganga Cavuery team and its young hero Akshay for a big success and a bright future.
It was a big moment for producer Venkatappa who had not bargained for such a big fan fare for this audio. The musical legends made all the difference in this function which can be appropriately described as the Best organised audio release function in recent times.
Dr. P.B.Sreenivos had written two poems wishing the success for Kalyan and the Ganga Cauvery team. Akshay was the centre of attraction with his new hair style and he was seeking blessings from all the people present on the auditorium.
