Bigg Boss is back with a bang. It has more than doubled its viewership last week. Chitraloka had last week reported how the election week and penultimate week of IPL-6 had taken its toll on Bigg Boss and also predicted that the following week, the show was likely to make good progress. It has made the progress and how! For the week ending May 19, the reality show has garnered GRP of 150.36. This is one of the best showing for any reality show in Kannada.

Between May 13 and May 16 (Monday to Thursday) Bigg Boss garnered 89.74 ratings. On Super Saturday With Sudeep it bagged a commendable 22.06 points. The Unseen Episode managed to attract  10.85 points. It was topped with the Vaarada Kathe Kichana Jote which managed an astonishing 27.71 TRP. The combined total for the week thus became 150.36.

Apart from the conclusion of elections and the IPL nearing a close, what seems to have gone in Bigg Boss's favour is the entry of Loose Mada Yogesh into the house. The weekend episodes of the show always garnered good ratings as Sudeep's presence boosted the show. But weekdays were vulnerable. Yogesh, who was first thought to be a one-day guest continued to stay in the house which propped up the weekdays also.

Now the stage is set for Bigg Boss to garner more eyeballs. Next week's TAM ratings will shed more light on this.
