Producer Ramu and the term 'Crore' (Koti) is synonymous in Sandalwood. It was Ramu who became famous as 'Koti Ramu' for consistently producing big budget films when such expenditure were mostly unheard of in Kannada. Now imagine the costliest film produced by Ramu and you get Veera.
The film, starring Malashree, is set to release on March 29. The movie has already cleared the Censor with a U/A certificate. Speaking to Chitraloka, Ramu said Veera is the costliest movie under his banner. In any Ramu movie, action has a prime place. In Veera, the action scenes alone cost several Crore Rupees. It is also the film with the longest shooting schedule of 165 days. While a couple of weeks shooting in foreign locations is not uncommon, for Veera, shooting in Macau, Hong Kong and Bangkok alone was done for two months. Many films complete entire shooting in 60 days. Ramu has not spared anything to make the film look lavish with the promos of the film being testimony to what fans can expect. Ramu does not reveal the exact figure of cost, but says the film will be a visual treat such like not seen before on Kannada screen.
The huge star-cast with several Bollywood actors is directed by Aiyappa Sharma of Varadanayaka fame. Komal, who has become a lead star in his own right has an important role in the film.
Malashree's fans can look forward to some exciting action as well as family drama that the story incorporates.
