One of the most expected films of the year, Topiwala, will not keep its date with the box office on March 8. An unexpected hurdle with the Regional Censor Board on Monday means the film has to be postponed to March 15.
The film, which is said to deal with the current political situation was watched by the Censor members on Monday. It was expected to be a smooth sailing, but members wanted some changes to be incorporated. The changes will be carried out on Tuesday. But it is almost certain that the film will not release this Friday, according to sources.
It is not clear what the Censor members objected to. But insiders say the film touching some sensitive political subjects was too much for Board members. However the changes suggested are minor and can be incorporated easily without affecting the film.
The film, written by Upendra and directed by RJ Sreeni is said to contain Upendra's clearest indication of his political stance.
