Kannada film industry wrapped 2019 on a high with the blockbuster Avane Srimannarayana after a series of other films did their magic at the box office for the calendar year.

As we welcome 2020, Sandalwood is all set to greet some of the most anticipated ventures, which are lined up for release including Roberrt, KGF Chapter 2, Yuvarathna, Pogaru, Bhajarangi 2, Popcorn Monkey Tiger, Kotigobba 3, Ek Love Ya, Raymo, Gaalipata 2, Buddhivantha 2, amongst others.

While Santhosh Anandraam returns after Raajakumara with Yuvarathna, Pawan Wadeyar's Raymo is expected to hit the theatres in 2020 and according to sources, he could even take up sequel to his most successful film - Googly 2.

Real Star Upendra will also be busy at the box office in 2020, one with R Chandru Kabza and another next is his other anticipated sequel - Buddhivantha 2.

Prem too returns to direction in 'Ek Love Ya' which is produced by actress Rakshita under her home banner Rakshita Film Factory which marks the debut of her brother Raanna.

Tharun Sudhir too returns, and this time with Challenging Star Darshan in the lead as Robbert. Even Rudra Prayag by Bell Bottom actor Rishabh Shetty has raised a lot of expectations.

Next year will also mark the return of Kichcha Sudeepa as director after a sizeable gap since he last directed Maanikya. He has announced that he will soon reveal about his next directorial. Whereas, Shivanna will continue with his run at the box office.

Whereas, next big pan-India release would be KGF Chapter 2, which marks the debut of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt. Along with starry projects, Sandalwood has umpteen number of experimental projects helmed by new breed of filmmakers, as there are more surprises to be unveiled in the coming year.
