Yogaraj Bhat directed Drama produced by Jayanna and Bhogeendra has been cleared from the Animal Welare Board after providing necessary documents to prove that some of the shots in the film were made with computer graphics. The Animal Welfare Board has given clearance to the film in the meeting held on Thursday, November 1 in Chennai.
The Animal Welfare Board which had rejected the application from the producers in last week's meeting wanted some more clarifications in this regard which was submitted properly by the film unit. The film will be censored next week after the first print gets ready, now that it has got clearance from the Animal Welfare board.
However the release date is not yet confirmed, as producer-distributor Jayanna has decided to wait and watch for some more time to avoid competition. Since Edhegaarike and prem adda are slated for release on november 16, Jayanna does not want to add any more competition.
However the news is that producer K.Manju's film "Rajanikantha' is facing problems with the Animal Welfare Board now and its application for clearance is not approved yet.
The objectionable sequence in the film Rajanikantha is the scene where hero Vijay is feeding doves. Another man is also having a group of doves, which comes to hero's place. Quarrel shown between the Vijay and the other man, doves are flying in back ground scenes.
However the objection of AWBI as explained in the notes of the meeting held on November 1 is as follows:
Explanation given by the applicant is not accepted and caged birds scene not approved. Since it is against Performing Animals Rules. That is the reason why application has not been approved.
