Any ardent fan of Kannada soaps would instantly recognise the actress from the popular tele-serial 'Puttagowri Maduve’. Actress Ranjani Raghavan who has been portraying one of most popular small screen character 'Puttagowri’, has finally decided to end her years long association with the serial.
The actress who made her sandalwood debut in 'Rajahamsa’, has revealed that she will no longer be part of the serial.
It is learnt that the actress who rose to fame with the serial, has decided to quit the serial following the introduction of a new character. Further, the actress is believed to have expressed her unwillingness to continue her role which seems to have lost its relevance due to the new character in the serial. It is also said that the actress does not want to share the screen space with the new one, which would undermine her role in the serial.
The actress who always credited her growth as an actor to 'Puttagowri Maduve’ and its director Ramji, has shocked her fans with her decision to quit playing Puttagowri. Ranjani, who has signed the film 'Sufi’, had recently said that she would concentrate on her film career and would not take up any other tele venture after Puttagowri Maduve.
