Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce vice-president and actor Umesh Bankar has silently completed a new film called 'Chitayu' and has sent the film to censor.

'Chitayu' marks the return of director Sitharam Karanth after a gap of 10 years and Sitharam Karanth who had directed films like 'Chandramukhi Pranasakhi', 'Srirasthu Shubhamasthu' himself has written the story and screenplay of the film.

Umesh Banakar himself has produced the film apart from acting in a prominent role in it. Apart from Umesh Bankar, Yamuna Srinidhi, Manjunatha Hegade and others play prominent roles in the film. Palani D Senapathi is the music director, while Nagaraj Adhoni is the cameraman. The film has been shot in Belgaum, Gokak and other places.
