Hindi actor Akhilendra Mishra returns to Kannada films with Anjaniputra. He plays one of the antagonists in the film and will join shooting in October. His participation in the film was finalized only a few days ago. Mishra has acted in only one Kannada film earlier.

He acted in Siddu directed by Mahesh Sukadhare and starring Srimurali more than a decade ago. This has been largely forgotten as it was not a successful venture. In Anjaniputra however Mishra gets a big film to showcase his prowess. Mukesh Towari plays the main villain in the film.
