Director R Chandru who has just started his new film 'Kanaka' starring 'Duniya' Vijay in lead role celebrated his birthday with fans and family.

R Chandru is the only other director to celebrate his birthday publicly apart from actor-director 'Jogi' Prem. Earlier, only star artistes used to celebrate their birthdays publicly. However, Prem changed it and he was the first director to celebrate his birthday amongst his fans. Now R Chandru also has joined the bandwagon.

'Big Boss' winner Pratham visited Chandru's residence and wished the director a happy birthday and a great year ahead.
