Actress Sanjana has been awarded the 'Celebrity Social Media Icon - 2016' at the Global Mobile App Summit by Apps World Magazine. GMASA has 19 various categories under which the app developers were awarded for their applications. The categories varied from apps developed for entertainment, education, lifestyle, media and video, news, medical, music, games, social media apps.

Sanjana was awarded the 'Celebrity Social Media Icon - 2016' award, while the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Service (BMTC) was awarded the 'People's Choice Award'.
