On the occasion of music director cum lyricist Hamsalekha's birthday (June 23), the fans and proteges have decided to felicitate him in a grand manner. Hamsalekha will be turning 66 on June 23rd and a grand birthday celebration in the name of 'Hamsotsava' will be held in Bangalore. The celebrations has a slogan called Eleyona Baara Kannada Tera.

On the 23rd of this month, Hamsalekha will be brought in a silver chariot from Kanteerava studio to Dr Rajakumar Kalakshetra in Rajajinagara. Hamsalekha audio cds, books will be distributed in this procession. Sweets will also be distributed to non-Kannada people who are residing in Bangalore. In the evening, a musical night will be conducted and many celebrities from the Kannada film industry is expected to take part in this event.
