Rishab Shetty's directorial debut Rikki, starring Rakshit Shetty and Haripriya among others will have its audio launch on December 31. This is an indication that the film may be releasing sometime late January 2016.

The film is produced by SV Babu. The film has generated curiosity as it has a Naxal backdrop which is the first in commercial films since Nagathihalli Chandrashekar's Matad Matad Mallige. Rishab had acted in Rakshit Shetty directed Ulidavaru Kandante before turning director with this film.
