There were reports that veteran actor Ananthnag has apologised to his fans for acting in 'Plus' which was released last month. Ananthnag had pinned lot of hopes on the film, but the film proved out to be a damp squib when released. So, Ananthnag had apologised to his fans for making them sad. Ananthnag clarified why he had to apologise to his fanse.

'I got a really grand publicity in the film and the makers had used my photos to woo the audience. Many people came to the film seeing my new look and photos. They had pinned a lot of hopes on the film. However, the film failed to live upto people's expectations. I still say the film had a good storyline, but the film was messed up in the editing table. After seeing the film, I had given some suggestions to shorten the film. There were many lengthy scenes and people nowadays don't see such long films. But the makers didn't take my suggestions. The film flopped. My role was good. Overall it didn't have any strength. So, I apologised to my fans' says Ananthnag.
