Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhan said she was very much shocked about the Public Interest Litigation put about the two acre land given to the Dr Vishnuvardhan Memorial by the Government of Karnataka.

Recently a PIL was filed by three environmentalists in the High Court of Karnataka against the land given by the Government of Karnataka to the Dr Vishnuvardhan memorial. The environmentalists had alleged that the two acres land given is in the buffer zone of a reserved forest and cannot be used for any other purpose.

Reacting to this, Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhan said she is very much shocked about the PIL and hoped that it won't stop the the laying of foundation stone for the memorial which is scheduled on 30th of December. CM Siddaramaiah will be the chief guest on the occasion and he will be laying the foundation stone for the memorial.
