Kannada film producers who were protesting at the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce for the last 10 days have started hunger strike from Thursday (11th of June) as their demands are not met.
The Kannada film producers had given a deadline of 10 days to the KFCC to solve their various problems and had threatened to go on a hunger strike if their problems are not met within the given time.
On the first day Jayasimha Musuri, Nandhihal, Shivakumar sat on the hunger strike on Thursday. Everyday three producers will sit on a hunger strike every day till their demands are met.
Meanwhile, the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce has called for an urgent meeting on Friday to discuss the producers problems.
Sources to chitraloka said from today (12th) no office bearers will enter the KFCC and do the office work. Producers have requested their colleagues not to do the shooting or any activities on 15th to show the unity.
