Way back in 1957, the second generation of the first family of the Kannada film industry joined films. R Nagendra Rao, was one of the founders of the Kannada film industry. In 1957, his two sons RN Jayagopal and RN Krishnaprasad entered the film industry as a lyricist and cinematographer respectively. One more of his sons was yet to make a debut. The same year, Pandari Bai produced her first film Rayara Sose. This was Dr Rajkumar's first social film as well.
