TP Singh Takhur, who went on to direct many successful films later, directed his first film Haribhakta in 1955. GK Venkatesh became an independent music composer with this film. Honnappa Bhagavatar produced the film Pancharatna.
TN Balakrishna wrote the story, dialogues and a few songs for this film. BS Ranga, who contributed important films to the industry through his Vikram Productions, produced and directed his first time Bhakta Markandeya in 1955. Y R Swamy directed and produced the first of his many films Sri Renukamba Mahatme through his Rohini Chitra production house.
