One of the best known Kannada music composers, Vijaya Bhaskar, made his film debut in the year 1955. He assisted L Lakshminarayan in composing the music for the film Sri Rama Pooja. His brother BR Krishna Murthy directed this film.
B Saroja Devi became a leading actress in this film. Future director and popular lyricist Geetapriya also made his debut in this film. Jnanpith Award winner Da Ra Bendre wrote songs for this film. Sorot Ashwath, who was already an actor in films was introduced as a writer in this film. He later became famous as a lyricist.
