Gubbi Veeranna had made silent films much earlier, but it was not until Sadarame in 1935 that he produced a talkie film. He produced this film in partnership. This was the third Kannada talkie film to be released.
Samsara Nauka, which released in 1936, was the first film based on a social theme rather than the mythological films made till then. HLN Simha directed this film.
