If your manufacturing date reads sometime during the 80s or even earlier, the title Godhi Banna Sadharna Mykattu would instantly remind you of the missing persons report in Doordarshan. Literally translated it means Wheatish complexion average build. That is every second person you meet.

Haven't we all lost something precious at some point in time? Friendships, loved ones, relationships, our innocence, memories even. Where does one look when something important goes missing? When SOMEONE goes missing? Approximately 15-20 adults and at least 10 children go missing in the city every day* Statistics show that the Karnataka Police do a fabulous job in solving these kind of cases with more than half of these missing people found. But what happens to the rest? What does one find when the search begins? Godhi Banna Sadharna Mykattu is a journey of a son searching for his missing father and in the process discovering his father. He ends up learning more about life, love and happiness during this search.

Godhi Banna Sadharna Mykattu is Produced by Pushkar Mallikarjunaiah and Directed by Hemanth M Rao. The film stars Anant Nag, Rakshit Shetty, Achyuta Kumar, Sruthi Hariharan and Vasishta N Simha. Cinematography is by Nandakishore Neelakanta Rao, Music by Charan Raj, Edited by Srikanth SH, and Production Design by Chaitra Puthraya. Godhi Banna Sadharna Mykattu is a Pushkar films and Lost & Found production with Visual Cue Creatives and Grasshopper Productions acting as Studio Partners for the project.

HEMANTH PROFILE

He worked as Assistant Director to four time National Award Winning Director Girish Kasarvalli on the film Gulabi Talkies. He then assisted National award winning director Jacob Varghese on the multi award winning 15 minute Kannada short-film 'PUTTI'. He then worked as Chief Associate to Jacob Varghese on box office hits 'SAVARI' and 'Prithvi.' He has directed several short films, some of which have won and featured in several international film competitions like Frozen International Film Festival, San Francisco, AOF International Film Festival, California and Mise-en-Scene 2011 short film competition, Gujrat.

ANANT NAG

One of the most well-known faces in Indian cinema and a legend in Kannada. A veteran actor with a contribution of 40 years to the film industry. His career boasts of works like "Ankur" by Shyam Benegal, the cult classic TV series "Malgudi Days", the hilarious Ganesha series and many more such unforgettable performances. His name is often associated with charisma and class. We grew up on his films and have been heavily influenced by the roles that he brought to life. His incredible versatility and repeated success through the years have cemented his place among legends. In Godhi Banna Sadharna Mykattu, he plays Venkob Rao, a middle class, ex BEML employee ailing with Alzheimer's, who goes missing.

RAKSHIT SHETTY

He's best known for Kannada films 'Simple Aagond Love Story' and 'Ulidavaru Kandante'. 'Simple Aagond Love Story' went on to become one of the biggest hits of the year. With the acclaimed 'Ulidavaru Kandante' Rakshit turned director as well, and pushed the barriers of contemporary Kannada cinema. He won the Filmfare award for Best Director for the film. In a short period of time, he has risen to be one of the most promising stars in the Kannada film Industry. He plays Shiva V Rao, Venkob Rao's son. An upscale investment banker, shuttling between Mumbai and Bangalore.

SRUTHI HARIHARAN

An actress with an inspiring rise to stardom. She started off as a background dancer in films and is now, one of the actresses to look out for in Kannada and Tamil film industries. After debuting in the Malayalam film 'Cinema Company', her breakthrough performance came in the Kannada film 'Lucia'. Her prowess as an actress has been further proved in films like 'Rhaatee' and Tamil film 'Nerungi Va Muthamidathe'.

ACHYUTA KUMAR

An actor, whose versatility is his identity. He is perhaps one of the few contemporary artists, who is on the big screen throughout the year. His memorable portrayal of 'Oil Kumar' in 'Aa Dinagalu' and 'Shankaranna' in Lucia, are performances etched in audiences' minds

VASISHTA N SIMHA

An upcoming actor, to whom intimidation comes with ease, given his rugged looks and gruff voice. His breakthrough performance as the main antagonist in 'Raja Huli', opened a flurry of opportunities. He's steadily rising, and shows no signs of stopping.

CINEMATOGRAPHER NANDAKISHORE

Nandakishore is a graduate from the prestigious FTII Pune. He has previously worked on several ads for brands such as Wipro, Adidas, Tata Tea, etc… He worked as second unit cameraman to award winning cinematographer Attar Singh Saini on Bollywood film 'Radio'. He has worked as DOP on the trilingual film 'Homestay which is due for release.

MUSIC DIRECTOR CHARAN RAJ

Charan Raj has dabbled in all genres of music, collaborated with artists from Kerala and made an album called Thallam. He has programmed for films such as Shaitan and Ezhu Sundara Rathrikal. He has programmed and sung for the Grammy winning album Winds of Samsara apart from scoring music for Kannada films Mandya to Mumbai, Dhalapathi, Whistle and National Award winning Kannada film Harivu.

EDITOR SRIKANTH SHROFF

A veteran in the field of editing, Srikanth has worked as an editor for over 20 years working on several high profile documentaries for BBC and National Geographic. He has worked on several Kannada films as well. Srikanth started Grasshopper Productions Pvt. Ltd in 2002, a full-fledged production & post production facility catering to the film and video fraternity.He has received accolades nationally and internationally for documentaries, advertisements and corporate works.
