The function was held on Thursday night at KSCA stadium which attracted a huge gathering of well-wishers and friends of Siddaraju family and also media personnel.

"He is one of the best human beings I have met. Our bond strengthened after the recent practice sessions and matches during the recent 20-20 competition. I wish him a big success. I did not know Nana Patekar had acted in this film till I came to the function. Since Nana Patekar has acted in the film, I am sure that the script has a good potential and the director should have done a good work. More than anything else I want the film to become a big hit for my friend Yogish' said Sudeep.
Another young actor Sreenagara Kitty who had just come from the Censor proceedings of his next to be released film Maththe Mungaru wished Yogi the best and hoped all the good work done by the entire team will pay rich dividends in the Box office.
H.M. Krishna Murthy one of close friends of Siddaraju who was another chief guest hoped that Yaksha should do magic to the Kannada film industry which is facing difficult times. The film's hero Yogish and heroine Ruby Pariwar thanked the guests who had come to wish the project.
All the technicians of the film excluding cinematographer Chandrashekhar were present on the Dias. M.S.Ramesh, the President of the Kannada film directors association said wished the project a big success and said that he is too eager to see the film as promos and songs have really impressed him. He felt happy for the Producer for bringing a talented artist like Nana Patekar to the Kannada film industry.
Music director Anoop Sileen said that he had a wonderful experience working for the film as neither producer Siddaraju or Ramesh Bhagavathar was talking about the budget for the songs compositions. "I was given full freedom for composing the songs and even while doing the background score of the film. I am sure this film will be my best work' said Anoop. Lyricist Nagendra Prasad, Dialogue writer Manju Mandavya, Dance choreographer Imran was also present.
Earlier, the songs and promos of the film were shown to the guests.
The Kannada film directors association headed by M.S. Ramesh has become super active these days. They want to solve any problems faced by members and the association as early as possible. Mussanje Mahesh who has now thrown out of the film Kool (Or was he forced to come out of the project along with his assistants) has lodged a complaining against Shilpa Ganesh alleging lot of interference in his work and also causing humiliation to him.
Acting on this complaint, the directors association has decided not to send any assistants to Kool unless Ganesh becomes a member of the organisation. And they have also said that Ganesh has to give his version on the complaint and has sought the intervention of the film chamber to resolve this issue. Though Mahesh has not written the story of the film, he has been credited with the screenplay of the film. He had also worked for more than two months for writing the script and making preparations for this film. All these things have to be discussed threadbare and some compensation given to the director for his work for the product.
Stung by the extent of criticism on a survey report conducted by a group of Kannada film enthusiasts named as Banavasi Balaga which called for lifting a ban on dubbing, the Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy headed by Nagabharana which had incorporated the survey in its presentation has now withdrawn its report.
In a press note released to the press, Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy has said that the controversy surrounding the report should end now, as they have decided to withdraw it.
Nagabharana has also apologised for his action.
The survey had indicated that after a fairly exhaustive consultations with many people connected to the Kannada film industry and looking at the data available on the quality and box office return of the films, it has come to the conclusion that the ban on the dubbing of non Kannada films have to be lifted. It had also suggested that the subsidy amount given to quality oriented Kannada films numbering thirty may be stopped to discourage fly by night operators to make films.
But the presentation of the report during the B.R. Panthulu centenary celebrations attracted huge criticism and immediately many people connected to the industry started pouncing on Nagabharana for including a survey report which did not have any credibility.
Ashok, the president of the Karnataka Cine workers association strongly criticised Nagabharana for his action and said that ban on the dubbing films cannot be lifted any one, as it goes against the Kannada ethos and time and again proved to be detrimental to the growth and sustenance of the Kannada film industry. He said that the ban on dubbing was necessary even today and to call for lifting of ban is meaningless. "I seek the apology of Nagabharana for presenting this ridiculous report to the people and calling for a debate' said.
Ganesh's second Home production Kool which made big news before its launch function is still making big news. But this time it may well be for wrong reasons , as now the heroine of the film has been changed. The new girl Sana Khan who has come in the place of well known Television actor Aamna Sheriff is already participating in the film's shooting which is now being held in Ootacamund from Thursday. Mussanje Mahesh is directing this film for which Ganesh's wife Shilpa Ganesh is holding the reigns as a producer.
During the big launch of the film a few days ago Shilpa Ganesh had proudly announced that Aaman Sheriff was her choice and the noted television actor was selected because of her classic taste in her choice of costumes she wore for tele serials. 'Aaman perfectly suits the role and will be a good pair to Ganesh' Shilpa had claimed. But just a day before the shooting schedule was to begin in Ooty, Mumbai based model cum actor Sana Khan has been chosen as a heroine in place of Aamna Sheriff.
Shilpa has maintained that the heroine for her second production had to be changed because the film's director Mussanje Mahesh had felt that she would not be a perfect choice to play a college girl in Kool. Both the hero and heroine of the film are college students in the film. Shilpa says that she went with the opinion of the director and opted for a better choice. But according to the Secretary of Aamna Sheriff says that the actor had walked out of the film because she was not given the full bound script of the film and she could not take any decision on Shilpa Ganesh's offer. Aamna Sheriff was not present during the press conference of the launch of the film.
