Ajay Kumar and Aindrita Ray starrer Manasina Maathu directed by Anantha Raju for producer Praveen has suddenly become a hot property for the film distributors now. The success of Krishnan Love Story directed by Shashank has strengthened the position of Ajay Kumar in the Kannada film industry. He has enhanced his stature now because the film Krishnan Love Story is turning out to be a big hit.
This has created a ripple effect in favour of Ajay's next release Manasina Maathu which is to be released shortly. Now, the distributors are showing interest in purchasing the film's rights and lot of inquiries is now being made about the film. This has really made Praveen a happy man.
"We are still to finish the shooting of a song sequence featuring Ajay Kumar and Aindrita Ray. Now, I am planning to finish all the post production work and then shoot for the song sequence. We may have to spend a lot of money in picturising this song sequence because it has to be shot in the sets and lot of dancers have to be used. We have already seen the film's double positive and we are sure that the film has come out very well. It has good commercial values. Both Ajay and Aindrita have done a good job respectively. Since the film revolves around a good story, we are sure that the film will appeal the family audience' says Praveen.
Praveen is planning to release the film on August 27. Pal distributors will be releasing this film throughout the state.
Mungaru Male producer E. Krishnappa third venture Maththe Mungaru directed by Dwarki Raghava and Srinagara Kitty in the lead is now ready for release . The audio album of the film was released on Monday by the unit members.
The film's lead artists Sreenagara Kitty, Ravishankar, Sushma Bharadwaj were present in the function along with the film's music director Paul Raj were present.
Art director Ismail is in trouble for no mistake of his. He was asked to prepare a set for the film Udyan Express at Rockline Studio. He finished it on time four weeks ago. But for the last one month, the producer has not paid for it and is missing. Poor Ismail is stuck with a set that he has invested Rs 2 lakh in and is unused. He will have to pay the studio himself if the producer does not turn up.

He would candidly reveal that Prachi Desai and Aftab Shivdasani is acting in one film and another day he would say he is using Asha Bhosle's song in either Manikya or Udyan Express. A new film titled as Mareyalaare featuring Chethan and Sindhu Lokanatha was launched on Sunday at the Gandhi Bhavan near Shivananda Circle. Sharat Khadri is the director of this film. The film will be commencing its shoot within four to five days and the unit is moving to Chickmagalur for the first schedule of the shooting. Later some key sequences are also being shot in Madikeri after which a major schedule will be held in Bangalore.
Speaking after the launch, actor Chethan who is returning to working in films after a long time said that he has always preferred good quality roles than becoming a busy actor signing too many films. Four months ago, Sharath came to me and briefed the story element of this project which looked interesting. He also gave me creative freedom to make some suggestions which I accepted and worked on developing the story. We have finalised the script now and going for the shoot' said Chethan.
Chethan made a good beginning with a film like Aa Dinagalu which was hailed for its realistic narration.
Just a few days ago Bengaluru based model cum actress Kriti Kharbhanda finished shooting for her first Kannada film Chiru in which she is paired with Chiranjeevi Sarja. Now, this girl is now again moving to Hyderabad to work in another Telugu film.
She made a debut through Telugu film Boni with Sumanth which however did not run too well. However, her second Telugu film shows lot of promise as it has Telugu Super Star Pawan Kalyan in the lead. Kriti will be playing the role of one of the heroines of this film directed by Jayanth Paranje which is a remake of Hindi film Kal Aaj Aur Kal. Glam girl Ileana plays the lead role in the film, while Kriti will be doing the role played by Gisello in the original film. Krithi has now replaced Richa Gangopadhyaya who was originally considered for this role.
Krithi says that she had enjoyed a lot working for her first Kannada film directed by Mahesh Babu. " I was treated as a kid during the shooting of the film. Chiranjeevi Sarja was always cracking jokes and we had lot of fun during the shoot. Mahesh Babu is so focused that he will enact a particular sequence and tell us to be as expressive like him while giving a shot' says Krithi.
