Basanth Kumar Patil, President of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce, Well known film producer Rockline Venkatesh and Distributor Mars Suresh were the chief guests of the 125 days celebration of Prakash Raj directed Naanu Nanna Kanasu held on Sunday night.
Naanu Nanna Kanasu which is jointly produced by Prakash Raj's Duet Movies and B.Suresha's Media House has completed a 125 day run in Big Cinemas Multiplex in Bengaluru and Mangalore. All the artists and technicians of the film were present along with the well wishers of the team and the media persons.
Prakash Raj who had made a debut in direction through this film said that the whole team has been happy because the efforts to make a good, purposeful film has really met the expectations of the people. "If you honestly ask me whether we have made a break even with the project or earned some profits, I should only say that we have only recovered 70 percent of our cast. But we should reiterate that a beginning has been made in our Endeavour to make honest and good films' said Prakash Raj.
Ramesh Arvind who had acted in a special role in the film said that many years ago it was Prakash Raj who had asked him to introduce well known director K. Balachandar who had a strong influence on him through his films. "But recently I came across a person who said that he was so impressed with Prakash Raj's direction of Naanu Nanna Kanasu that he really wanted to meet him and speak to him. He requested me to introduce to Prakash Raj. The life has turned full circle to Prakash Raj' said Ramesh Arvind.
Basanth Kumar Patil hailed Prakash Raj as a great actor who has made a good beginning as a director through Naanu Nanna Kanasu. The film's lead actress Amoolya was not present in the function as she was away in Chamarajanagar to perform monthly rites for her father who departed a few years ago. Sithara, Neenasam Achyutha, Rajesh, Veena Sundar, Sihi Kahi Chandru and others were present.
After the function, Prakash Raj's wife joined the party organised by Prakash Raj for the media and his team of artists and technicians.

Actor Ramesh Arvind is one actor who is working nonstop one film after the other. Just a few days ago, he had finished his work in a horror film Shock directed by Ha.Su.Rajashekhar and now he is busy working for Happy Husbands. The film is a remake of Tamil hit film Charlie Chaplin which was remade as Peelam Oorilethe in Telugu, No Entry in Hindi and recently Happy Husbands in Malayalam. All the remake versions have become hugely successful.
Ramesh is really happy to work with his favourite actor-director Ravichandran in Happy Husbands.
Jayaprada will be playing the role of Channamma in the historical film Sangolli Raayanna directed by Naganna and produced by Anand Appugol. The actor cum politician has agreed to don the role of Karnataka's much acclaimed queen of Kittoor who waged a war against the British rule. Sangolli Raayanna is an adopted son of Rani Channamma who also joins the fight against the British. Darshan plays the role of Sangolli Raayanna in the film. The latest news is that Priyamani who had agreed to work in the film has now said that he would not be working in a historical film so early in her career.
The major war sequences of the film will be shot in Jaipur for this film. Already the photo shoot of Darshan in the attire of Sangolli Raayanna has been completed. Darshan is also quite excited about this project which would be quite a different project for him. Hitherto most of Darshan's films have been action oriented thrillers, but Sangolli Raayanna is one project that may even please lots of his fans.
