The relationship between Chocolate hero Diganth and glam Diva Aindrita Ray may be a subject for discussion among some people in the film industry, but now it is confirmed that the Manasare pair is now being selected to play the lead in a new film to be produced by Paramesh and Prem. This new film is the remake of Tamil Hit Boss Engira Bhaskaran which had Arya and Nayantara in the lead. The film is being directed by Prabhu Sreenivas who had earlier directed the not so successful Jeeva for the same producers. But Paramesh who has lot of confidence on the abilities of dance choreographer turned director Prabhu is reposing trust on the same director.
Though Diganth was selected to play the lead in the film much earlier, there was search for a suitable artist to be paired with the Doodhpeda. Finally Aindrita has been selected after some confusion in the dates of the actress has been cleared. Incidentally Aindrita is also acting in another film Jarasandha in which she is paired with her Junglee hero Vijay. This film is being directed by Shashank and produced by Gangadhar, Basavaraj and Venkatesh who were teamed up in producing Darshan starrer Shourya last year.
Actress Aindrita Ray says that she had planned her yearend Holiday with her family members well in advance and could not cancel her tickets "I got the information about the audio release function just a few days before the function. It was too late as I had already booked my tickets well in advance and it would not have been possible for me to cancel the tickets as I had booked for all the members of my family' said Aindrita Ray.
Answering a SMS message sent by the Chitraloka team, Aindrita said that she had already gone out of the town four days before the year end and had been enjoying a good Holiday week end with her family members.
"I had told many of my producers that I will not be available in the city starting from the Christmas Holidays as I was going out for a Holiday trip with my family members. You can cross check it with the producers of the film Jarasandha who wanted to start the shooting of their film on December 15. I had told them that I will not be available from December 26 to January 4 as I would be away. I got the information of the audio release function of Dhool when I was leaving for the Holiday trip which was too late' said Aindrita Ray.
The absence of Aindrita Ray, the heroine of Yogish starrer Dhool in the audio release function of the film has really made the film's director Dharani most unhappy. "My dreams of making this film a grand event did not materialise, but thankfully the presence of many leading lights of the film saved the situation for us. The film's hero Yogish came to the function even when he was running temperature and was taking some medicine for the past two days. But Aindrita did not come to the function and she was even unresponsive to our requests and calls. This has made me really unhappy about her' says Dharani.
Dharani charges that Aindrita Ray chose to absent herself from the function despite advance information about the audio release of Dhool which was held on in the presence of many film industry dignitaries. Dhool is the remake of Tamil Hit Thiruvizhaiyaadal Aarambham which had Dhanush and Shreya in the lead.
"I am very upset with Aindrita Ray. I think she is the most unprofessional artist I have met in my two decades of service in the film industry. She has no courtesy to even respond to calls of her film's producer and director. I personally sent her several messages which remain unanswered till today. She was telling some people that she is in Hong Kong and she sent a message later to Yogi that she was on a Holiday trip to Goa. My film's producer also telephoned her, but unfortunately Aindrita Ray remained unresponsive. On the day of audio release the film's hero Yogi came to the function despite being unwell. I told him that Aindrita is not responding to my calls and requested him to call her to prevail on her to make a presence at the audio release function. Again she did not respond and Yogi sent a message for which Aindrita said that she was in Goa at that time. I think this was the most unacceptable act from the heroine of the film who has to be part of a big promotional event of the film. This attitude is most uncalled for from an artist like Aindrita Ray' says Dharani. Dharani says that Aindrita is showing her unprofessional attitude to even top film producers and directors.
'I am told that she did the same thing in case of her films like Veera Parampare and Manasina Maathu which had big wigs like S. Narayan and producer Praveen respectively. Aindrita should realise her mistakes immediately and rectify them. I only request her to participate in any future promotional events of all the films including Dhool' says Dharani.
