Finally, Anand Appugol's magnum opus "Kranti Vera Sangolli Raayanna' directed by Naganna and which has Challenging Star Darshan has cleared all its obstacles to hit the screen on the Rajyothsava Day to please the Kannada film fans.
The Kannada film audience will finally decide about Sangolli Raayanna's merits and Box office returns of the film, but there are some more problems for other Kannada film producers who have readied their films for release after the giant gets released on November 1.
Many film producers say that if the date of KVSR release was certain, they would have planned their release much earlier and would have made preparations to this effect. But the mystery shrouding the film's release and absence of any information about the problems related to the delayed release had made them to wait for the KVSR release. The Holiday period after Dussera witnessed release of two light weight films like "Ball Pen' and "Golmal'.
On November 1, besides the hugely hyped KVSR another film "Dakota Picture' produced by Rockline Venkatesh and directed by Om Prakash Rao is also getting released.
On 9th November, two Kannada films "Prem Adda directed by Mahesh Babu and Edhegaarike directed by Sumana Kiththoor= are planned for release in Bengaluru's main theatres like Kapali and another theatre in K.G.Road., while Novmber 16 will see the release of Yogaraj Bhat directed "Drama' produced by Jayanna most probably in Sagar. Prem Adda has received approval certificate from the Animal Board, while the application of Drama may get cleared on November 1 meeting.
Shivaraj Kumar's Lakshmi directed by Raghava Loki has been planned for release on November 30. But this will depend on the collections of Upendra's Kalpana which seems to be doing very well in all the centres around the state. "Guru' is also trying for a release on November 16, while Ramu is trying to sequeeze in his "Veera' release on November 30 or a week later. By that time it is hoped that Aparna may get free after a 50 days running in many centres around the state.
Meanwhile two Komal starrers "Radhikan Ganda' and his home production film "Nandeesha' may also get released in November or December.
Producers of films like Bangaari, Super Shashtri and Jinke Mari are also trying to squeaze in their release in the month of November. Uppi starrer Kalpana is having a good run in many B and C centes in Mysore and Northern Karnataka distribution area and it has to be seen whether some theatres will be free from November 1 for release of KVSR.
One positive outcome of the rush of releases is that many Kannada films may get released in theatres which have screened only non Kannada films in their theatres.
Century Star Shivaraj Kumar will be teamed up with Sandalwood Queen Ramya in a new film to be produced by Kamar and directed by Veteran director D. Rajendra Babu. Kamar had already produced small budget films like "Rame Gowda Vs Krishna Reddy' and "Vighna' and other films.
Ramya has also tweeted that she has signed a new film with Shivaraj Kumar. Ramya tweets: yes, I've signed a film with shivrajkumar..I'm soooo looking forward to working with him. he is one of my most fav people in the industry :)
Incidentally, the film's director D.Rajendra Babu said that they had zeroed on Ramya for a role, but they waited for an approval from Shivaraj Kumar. Speaking to Chitraloka Mega Portal from Chickballapura, where he has gone to make the final draft of the script, Rajendra Babu said that the Shivaraj Kumar and Ramya combination is perfectly suitable for the film.
Shivaraj Kumar plays the role of a Sports Coach in the film, while Ramya plays the role of his love interest. "But both the hero and heroines have sequences to show case their talents. I had worked with Ramya in Bombaat where I was able to judge her intensity in performances. About Shivanna nothing can be said against, as he is already regarded as one of the best performers on Kannada screen' said Babu.
The problem of clearance from the Animal Welfare Board has now been faced by much awaited film "Drama' directed by Yogaraj Bhat which is produced under the banner of M/s.Jayanna combines, by Jayanna and Bhogeendra. Yash and Radhika Pandit are in the lead roles.
According to the information obtained from the Animal Welare Board website, the film unit has used five dogs, 25,Pigeons, 30 sheeps and Goats, Twenty Cocks and Hens and about twenty , Cows, Bullocks and , Buffalos to create village atmoshpere. Graphics of Animals have also been used. Animals used as entertaining & village atmosphere.
The Animal Welfare Board has not approved the application and wants that the producer has to to send a new CD (2 CDs) containing all animal scenes including Computer Graphics scenes as shown in final film.
Dr. Raj Cup 2012 will start from today in Bagalkot which will be followed by matches in Bijapur on Sunday and Gulbarga on Monday. The dancers association which has been organising the Dr. Raj Cup for the three years is behind this prestigious Cricket Championship.

The finals of the Dr. Raj Cup will be held in Malaysia on November 20. It was a happy moment for the team of Rambo made under the banner of ‘Laddoo Creations. The film was completed fifty days run in many centres of the state and has given a new fillip to the efforts of the entire team. Actor and Producer Sharan, Shruthi, Director Sathish, DOP S.Krishna, Music director Arjun Janya, Artists Tabala Nani, M.S.Umesh,and Tharun Sudhir were present in the press meet. Actor Naveen Krishna was also a special invited. Mementoes were distributed to the artists and technicians of the film. ’

Rambo is the 100th film of Sharan which has reached a mile stone of completing fifty days run. For me it is like my film running for five hudnred days, Sharan happilly said.
