Indrajith Lankesh's 'Aishwarya' first created records as it had directors like Upendra, Sadhu Kokila, Omprakash Rao, Master Kishan and others playing prominent roles in the film. Next 'Prem Adda' had Prem, Murali Manohar,V Manohar and other well known directors acting in the film.
Now 'Guerilla' a film being produced by Sadhu Kokila is all set to enter the record books as the film has 25 directors playing important roles. The film is being directed by M N Murthy a protege of Sadhu Kokila and the film will be launched in the Kanteerava Studio tomorrow.
The film has four heroes and the remaining 25 characters will be portrayed by directors like S V Rajendra Singh Babu, Omprakash Rao, Nagashekhar, Sadhu Kokila, Dayal Padmanabhan, Nagatihalli Chandrashekhar, Priya Hassan and others. Director M N Murthy who has worked for 16 films as an associate has roped in all the directors he had worked with for this film.
Ask the director about why he has roped in so many directors, 'directors are the best actors. It is they who teach the actors to act. So, I have roped in the directors for all the characters' says Murthy.
Apart from the characters the film will have three main leads and it will be portrayed by Lucky Shankar, Naveen and Murugan.
Kannada actress Triveni has returned back to acting in films after 18 long years. Triveni's last film was Dr Rajkumar's 'Jeevana Chaitra' and the actress is back with Vijay starrer 'Shivajinagara'.
Though Triveni was not a big actress in her times, she managed to act in many films in prominent roles including 'Banni Ondsala Nodi'. Triveni who is a relative of Chindodi Leela had acted in many films with Malashree as her friend. After acting in many films in small yet prominent roles, Triveni quit acting to get married.
Now Triveni is back to play Vijay's mother role in 'Shivajinagara'. Before this Triveni had acted in 'Sindhoora' serial which was telecasted in Suvarna Entertainment Channel.
In its 5th week, Darshan-starrer Bulbul is set to become a bigger hit than Sarathi and Kranti Veera Sangolli Rayanna. By the end of week 5, its collection, according to industry will match the overall collection of the other two films. The film is already in profit and entered the profit mode in the second week itself.
The film is running in around 130 theatres now. Out of this, 50 theatres are those in which the film released on May 10. It is likely to complete 50 days run in about 35 theatres.
The film has been a sensational hit in Mandya-Mysore-Hassan and Shimoga, where it is the biggest Kannada hit. In North Karnataka and Mangalore, the film is comparatively lower with the box office collection about 60 per cent. This is however much higher than most films in the 5th week.
Vijay starrer 'Shivajinagara' which has been in the news for quite sometime has been launched on Friday at the Ramanjaneya Temple in Hanumanthanagar. The film was launched in a simple function with Malashree clapping for the first shot.
Though Shivajinagar is very famous for rowdism, director P N Satya says the film has nothing to do with rowdism. 'The film is not based on any real incidents, but has a fictional story. Kumar from Hyderabad who has earlier worked for Puri Jagannadh's films have written the story. The story is about a family living in a clumsy area. We thought it would be better to place the story in Shivajinagara and we have also title the film as 'Shivajinagara'' says P N Satya.
This is Vijay's third film in Ramu Enterprises banner and earlier the actor has acted in 'Rakshasa' and 'Kanteerava'. 'I play a role of a middle class teenager called Ram in this film. The film is all about what happens when a middle class youth falls into addiction and how the family overcomes it' says Vijay.
Avinash plays Vijay's father while Sumitra and Triveni plays Vijay's mothers in the film.
If everything would have gone well, then Shruthi's marriage with Chandrachud was fixed in Hosanagar. But the venue was changed to Kollur because of the protests from the local villagers.
Earlier, the marriage of Shruthi and Chandrachud was fixed in Halebaaniga village of Hosaanagara. Even the preparations for the marriage were done at the Eshwra-Venkateshwara temple. The preparations were known to only few of the trustees of the temple and others were upset that they were not communicated about the marriage. Even the local villagers objected for the marriage.
With no other go the marriage party including Shruthi and Chandrachud had to leave the village overnight. With the venue changed suddenly, the marriage was fixed at the temple town of Kollur on late Wednesday night. The marriage party came to Kollur early Thursday morning and the marriage went on smoothly.
