"I have not participated in a Lip to Lip kissing sequence with my hero Prem. There have been unsubstantiated reports that have appeared in the media' says Karishma Tanna, the heroine of I am Sorry, Banni Maththe Preethsona. Tanna had flew down to Bengaluru to meet the press and gave her version of the story. The Mumbai based model cum Television actress Karishma Tanna says that publication of the news of lip to lip kissing sequence in the film in some newspapers and websites had surprised her.
"Believe me, It is a first night sequences which has been shot sensuously. It is not a vulgar sequence. I am sure the people would really like the sequence' says Tanna "It is a fabricated news item. I want to outrightly deny this' said the actress who became popular after her television serial ‘Comedy Circus’ in Sony TV became an instant hit. Tanna has also acted in Hindi film ‘Koi Dhil Mein Hai’ and her another popular television serials include is ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhu Bahu Thee’ as Indira. ‘Zara Nachke Dikha’ was in another popular reality dance show in small screen.
But it looks like the whole thing is stage managed the way in which the publicity has been planned. The film is certainly getting good publicity and who ever is involved in this new innovative publicity has to be complimented. Kudos to Raveendar for making efforts to reach out people through these methods. Anyhow, I am Sorry, Banni Maththe Preethsona may not have a lip kiss scene, but the news about the film is on the lips of Kannada film fans.
The film cast includes Dilipraj, Anand, Amritha Chabria, Karthik, Krithika Pande are also in the cast. Anoop Seelin has scored the music and Ashok Kashyap is the cameraman of this Ravindra directed film.
Dusky beauty Priyamani who is presently shooting for her fourth Kannada film Lakshmi with Shivaraj Kumar in the lead says that it is her ambition to carry off a role with negative shades .
"I don’t mean a complete negative character, but the role may be something like what Ramya Krishna did in a film like Padeyappa.
That was really an inspiring role. I think I may realise half my dream of acting in a role with grey shades in the untitled film produced by Dwarakish sir which has Sudeep in the main role. It is not a complete negative role or a role filled with negative shades.
But never the less it has some negative shades in the beginning. I would not like to elaborate on it, but it would be better for my fans to see the film and enjoy' says Priyamani whose second Kannada film Eno Onthara, the sole Kannada release last year was a flop.
However her list in this year looks promising as both Sudeep's film and Lakshmi has been backed by a good technical team and are reported to have very good scripts.
Priyamani had mixed fortunes last year. Though her last release Ragada in Telugu has opened well, it is not carrying good reports as of now. The collections have almost remained same. She had a good hit in Golimar directed by Puri Jagannadh in which she was paired with Gopichand.
However Priyamani made news for her debut in Bollywood. In addition to some big banner releases in Telugu and Tamil, she marked her entry into Bollywood. Her first film in Sandalwood was released during the Christmas Holidays in the year 2009 which became a huge hit.
In Bollywood, she did small but significant roles in Mani Ratnam's ‘Raavan’ and RGV's ‘Rakth Charitra- Part 2. But both these films did not make a big impact and were declared as box office failures. It looks as if Priyamani may have to concentrate on South Indian films only.
"I am focusing on good subjects with good script and a great team. Lakshmi has a great team and I will be working with Shivaraj Kumar for the first time. I am ready to take up offers in any languages provided I am offered a very good role which is backed by an excellent script' says this glam heroine whose glam quotient has been ruling in the Telugu film industry.
Mumbai based actor Shradhdha Das is now working in a Kannada film Hosa Prema Puraana which is directed by Shivakumar. Nikith and Radhika Gandhi are the other actors who are playing lead roles . Starting her career down south, Shraddha Das's first film Sidhu from Srikakulam has been a hit. She thereafter starred in a number of Telugu films, including Target, 18, 20 Love Story, Diary and Adhineta.
But the beginning of her actual career as an actress starts with Sai Om Films' much talked about maiden venture Lahore, which has already won Awards at the Prestigious 42nd WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival. It has been directed by Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan and produced by Vivek Khatkar. Shraddha had essayed a Pakistani character in the film, cast opposite Aanaahad, which released in March 2010.
Shradhdha Das was introduced to South Indian films through Siddu from Sreekakulam which had Allari Naresh in the lead.
Shraddha Das is also known as a 'sequel queen' in the South because of acting in Arya 2,Mantra 2 and Chandramukhi 2 as heroine, which are sequels to the original films with the same names. Chandramukhi 2 has a different title as Nagavalli officially, but this remake of Kannada block buster Aaptha Rakshaka has five heroines out of which Shradhdha Das is one.
Though Shradhdha did the lead role in Adhineta, her sixth film in Telugu with hero Jagapati Babu and Director Samudra, she has been playing parrellel roles in many Telugu films like Maro Charitra produced by Dil Raju, opposite Varun Sandesh.
Shradhdha Das was in Bengaluru to participate in the press conference of her first Kannada film Hosa Prema Puraana. Director Shivakumar says that the film deals with the live in relationship concept which is growing stronger among the present day youngsters.
Shradhdha is one of the heorines in the film, while Radhika Gandhi has played the other heroine's character. However Shradhdha's character is completely glamour oriented. Shradhdha feels that she is good to be part of a single heroine films and will think strongly if offers come to her for second lead roles.
"I am not going to act in films, which portray her as the second lead anymore. I am now working with Bollywood director Madhur Bhandarkar in the film titled as Dil To Bachcha Hai Ji which has a stronger role for me. I would like to tell my producers from South that if they want to cast me in their films, then, they will have to cast me as the film heroine' says Shradhdha Das.
The actress says that since she has already worked as one of the lead stars in a Bollywood film, it does not make sense for her to go back to playing supporting actress roles in Telugu ventures. Though Shraddha debuted with Telugu film and has worked in a couple of Tollywood flicks, it was through her Hindi film Lahore that the actress gained countrywide acclamation.
Lahore was not a commercial hit. But it won the attention of the critics and also went on to win the National Award. It was from here that she was noticed by director Madhur Bhandarkar, says Shraddha Das.
The actress has not signed any Bollywood venture after Dil To Bachcha Hai Ji and she is waiting for a meaty role in B-town.
The hero of Boss is definitely quite impressed with the huge response to his recent film Boss which is all set to create a big record as for as the first week's total collections are concerned . It may be because the film has been released in more than 135 theatres around the state, but the fact remains that a record will remain a record until it is beaten squarely by other achievements.
Challenging Star Darshan shared some of his thoughts about the huge openings of Boss with the Chitraloka Mega portal on Sunday night over phone.
Chitraloka wished to talk the Challenging star to know his reaction to the huge openings for the film during the festival week. He had just then come from a hectic shooting of a War sequence and was freshening himself when Chitraloka contacted him.
"I should thank my fans throughout the state who have made this possible. I was little apprehensive before I left to Jaipur for KSR shoot mainly because Boss was releasing in large number of theatres in Bengaluru, Mysore and other urban centres. But my fans have shown a high degree of enthusiasm in supporting this film which started more than two years ago and took a longer time to complete.
They have clearly enjoyed the variation shown by me in both the roles and I am personally happy because I am told even the critics have pointed out the different characterisations portrayed by me on screen' said Darshan.
Darshan did not agree with the criticism that the film had too many twists and turns in the second half. "I think the twists were necessary for the flow of the story and also for resolving the confusions and curiosity in the film. I have seen the film and I was happy that Raghuraj has narrated the story as he had detailed me earlier. He demanded perfection from all the artists and technicians' said Darshan.
Darshan says that both Ramesh and Raghuraj have told him that a number of theatres in the chain will be removed in the second week to ensure a smooth run of the film in the month end.
"That is a good move, because we cannot hold on theatres for a longer period and get a lesser share. I am sure my fans would understand this business compulsion and continue to encourage the film. I am very happy that the family audience have already started arriving in theatres from Sunday itself' says Darshan.
Kannada Super Star Sudeep has assured his fans that he will have more space in Ram Gopal Varma's latest film Raktha Charitha Part I which is doing phenomenal business in Andhra Pradesh and satisfactory business in many North Indian states. The film which was viewed by some of the film fans in general and Sudeep's fans in particular are quite disappointed with the opportunity given to Sudeep in the film.
However, Sudeep says that he will occupy more screen space in the second part of Raktha Charithra which is releasing on November 18 all over. He says though he had appeared in one sequence in the first part of the film, he has more number of very good sequences in the second half with Vivek Oberoi, Surya and Shatrughan Sinha.
