Puneeth's new film Ninnindale has created a record by managing to get the highest satellite television telecast rights so far in Sandalwood. Sources say that the figure negotiated is more than Rs 6.5 crore.

This will be the highest so for all previous movies of Puneeth as well as for any Kannada film. The film's audio was released a few days ago and the release date is being finalised which is likely to be anytime in January. The actor meanwhile is shooting for the remake of Telugu film Dhookudu.

Ninnindale is a love story between the protagonists who are from two Kannada families based in New York, USA. Therefore most of the film was shot in US. The film has the first sky diving scenes in Kannada and is directed by Telugu director Jayanth C Paranjee. The music is also by Tollywood composer Mani Sharma. Erica Fernandes plays the female lead and serial actress Nandini Vittal has dubbed the voice for her. The film launched in August 2013 is the first film to release for Puneeth in more than a year.
