Chitraloka has created history by reporting from Leh for Sainika movie. ‘SAINIKA’ Kannada film has entered the pages of history. Mainly because of the shooting held at Kargil areas, Leh, Kulu Manali and other difficult areas. A difficult proposition set by Sainika team that even required the permission from rival Pakistan country for war situation shooting in the border has been completed with great difficulty. The 280 members team of ‘Sainika’ that left for shooting at the tip of the nation is feeling relieved now.
The challenge to shoot for ‘Sainika’ in some of the most difficult areas was like facing a war from the enemy country. The hard ways, the flexible temperature, lack of proper food, the non-stop danger as the war situation was planned continuously kept the team of ‘Sainika’ on the toes for several days. However, with very less problems the shooting of ‘Sainika’ is nearing completion at a place where even the Hindi film ‘Border’ was not able to shoot. All hail the efforts of ‘Sainika’ team.
The usage of original missiles, Bofors guns and 250 soldiers and the firing sounds shooting was considered as the most difficult task while shooting at the original Kargil place. For this the written permission was obtained from the Pakistan government. The reason is obvious. There are chances of real border activity cropping up feared Yogishwar. We are not bothered about the weather and food but our main aim was to bring reality to the film. This is the reason why such an effort has been made. Money is not the criteria. Shooting with no qualms was our intention informs Yogishwar.
Water rafting action scene that cost Rs.1.25 lakhs was easily shot with Gypsy vehicles going on air with cannon blasting. For this particular situation I owe a lot to the cameraman and director. The Bollywood bad boy Ashish Vidyarthi is playing a different role. Ashish’s role is similar to the one happened in Chickmagalur in real life. Enagi Nataraj of ‘Sankranthi’ television serial fame plays the terrorist role has come out good briefed Yogishwar.
Among 280 members around six were admitted to Hospital due to bad weather condition. It takes six hours for the rice to boil. Imagine the condition here says Yogishwar.
