It will be S.Narayan who will be directing Golden Star Ganesh's new film to be produced by K.Manju. The film is remake of Tamil Hit Mynaa which was directed by Prabhu Soloman. The original Tamil film was a trendsetter in the Tamil film industry which had won critical appreciation as well as being declared as a Box office hit.
Earlier it was Prabhu Soloman who was assigned the responsibility of directing this Kannada remake, but now it looks like both K. Manju and Ganesh had decided to opt for a Kannada film director who has a good track record in nativity oriented films. Prabhu Soloman who had come to the Rockline 25 films function on May 1 had told Chitraloka Mega Portal that he was indeed directing the Kannada film. He had even said Amala Paul was chosen as the heroine of this film. Later Amala Paul had confirmed in some interviews that she would be working in this Kannada film. Now, it is not confirmed whether Amala Paul will be working in this film as the director of the film has been changed.
It looks as if with the change of the director, the entire process of pre production work will again begin as S. Narayan is himself a writer and he may have to think about changes from the original script to suit the native tastes. He may think of casting only after he starts writing the script and dialogues all over again. Since he is busy in the release of his own film Dushta on
June 3, it may take him some time for doing the writing work. It appears that K. Manju had got even the lyrics written for the film earlier.
The news of the change in the director has not been revealed yet. When Chitraloka met K. Manju on Monday night at the Jogayya platinum disc function to inquire about the progress of the film, he was evasive. He kept mum when he was specifically asked whether he is contemplating the change of director.
S Narayan said no comments when asked about whether he would take up direction of Ganesh's new film. "I think Manju will be a better person to answer your question' said Narayan.
