A new addition now is son of Congress politician HM Revanna. His son Anoop Vadul will make his acting debut shortly. Sources said a popular Kannada director has been selected to direct this film. This is not the first time a politician son or daughter is entering Sandalwood. Earlier when H D Devegowda was the prime minster and his son HD Kumaraswamy entered Kannada film industry as a producer. Now HDK's son Nikhil is making his entry soon as a film hero.

A decade years back present chief minister Siddaramaiah's son Rakesh had made an attempt to venture in Kannada film Nanage Neenu Ninage Naanu as hero but he failed in his first attempt since that movie was not finished. This movie was produced by Anitha Subramanyam and Sangeetha was the leading lady.

BT Lalitha Naik's son Om Prakash has been in this field active now.

Bangarappa's son Kumar Bangarappa, S Ramesh's son Pawan have all been in films. Pawan did production under Chinni Creations banner. Sandesh Nagaraj's son became a producer. Swamy Sandesh has acted in films and has produced movies.

After entering the film industry as an actor and now also a politician Jaggesh introduced son Guru to the big screen. CP Yogeshwar's daughter Nisha attempted acting in Ambareesha and in the initial stage itself he was replaced.
