Dinesh Gandhi directed film Chatrapathi is in legal trouble. A case has been filed against the Siddanth acted film in a local court in Bangalore seeking to stay its release on December 27.
The case has been filed by Suprith who claims to hold the remake rights of the Telugu original of the same name. Since Tuesday and Wednesday were holidays, the case will come up for hearing on Thursday, just a day before the film's release.
The film is a remake of the Telugu Chatrapati directed by SS Rajamouli. Dinesh Gandhi was said to have had the rights to it. But now Suprith is claiming that DineshGandhi does not have the rights. His advocate claims that the it would be illegal to distribute or exhibit the film as well.
