ಕಸ್ತೂರಿ ನಿವಾಸ. ಡಾ.ರಾಜ್ ಅಭಿನಯದ ಹಲವಾರು ಕ್ಲಾಸಿಕ್ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೂ ಒಂದು. ಈಗ ಈ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಟೈಟಲ್‍ನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಮಾಡಲು ಹೊರಿಟಿದ್ದರು ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ದಿನೇಶ್ ಬಾಬು. ನಾಯಕಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದವರು ರಚಿತಾ ರಾಮ್. ಚಿತ್ರ ಸೆಟ್ಟೇರಿಯೂ ಆಗಿತ್ತು. ಇದು ದಿನೇಶ್ ಬಾಬು ಅವರ 50ನೇ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ವಿಶೇಷ.

ಆದರೆ ಅಣ್ಣಾವ್ರ ಮಾಸ್ಟರ್ ಪೀಸ್ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಟೈಟಲ್ ಬೇಡ. ಅದನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಿಡಿ ಎಂದು ರಾಜ್ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳು ದಿನೇಶ್ ಬಾಬು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು.

ದಿನೇಶ್ ಬಾಬು ಅವರಿಗೂ ಅಷ್ಟೆ, ಡಾ.ರಾಜ್ ಎಂದರೆ ಅಪಾರ ಗೌರವ. ಈ ಗೌರವದಿಂದಾಗಿಯೇ ಟೈಟಲ್ ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ದಿನೇಶ್ ಬಾಬು, ಕೊನೆಗೆ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳ ಮನವಿಗೆ ಮಣಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮುಹೂರ್ತವಾದ ಒಂದೇ ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಟೈಟಲ್ ಕೈಬಿಡಲು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸದ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕಸ್ತೂರಿ ನಿವಾಸ ಅನ್ನೋ ಟೈಟಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬದಲು ಕಸ್ತೂರಿ ಎಂದಷ್ಟೇ ಟೈಟಲ್ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

Director Well known film director Dinesh Baboo not only written the script for his Eradaneya Maduve, but even directed it. That is if you take the literal meaning of it . Yes, Dinesh Baboo who directed the film Eradaneya Maduve for producers Suresh and Rajeevi had his Eradaneya Maduve with his assistant director Chethana some five months ago. None other than Dinesh Baboo himself confirmed about this new in a chat with Chitraloka Mega portal. Incidentally Dinesh Baboo has been divorced earlier with his first wife.

Another bit of conicidence is that Dinesh Baboo's second marriage took place when he was working on the post production work for his recent Eradaneya Maduve. Incidentally Eradaneya Maduve has become an important film in his career as the famous director has now busy in doing post production work for the Telugu remake version of the hugely successful Kannada film. Chethana had worked as an associate director to Babu in films like Janumada Gelathi, Mr. Painter and also Eradaneya Maduve. Love blossomed between Baboo and his assistant during the shooting of this film.

Acclaimed director Dinesh Baboo's new film, which is also his 50th film has been titled as 'Kasthuri Nivasa'. The title has been derived from Dr Rajakumar's popular film of the same name.

'Kasthuri Nivasa' stars Rachita Ram, Skanda, Shruthi Prakash and others in prominent roles was launched in Conrad Hotel in Bangalore on Friday.

'Kasthuri Nivasa' deals with paranormal activity and the regular shooting for the film will start from September end.

The eagerly expected Kannada film ‘Hollywood’ an opulently made film with a budget of Rs.7 crore is not as expected. There are exotic locations – a real feast to the eyes. There is Melkote Seenu (a Monkey) and three Upendras plus Ananthnag. The redeeming features of this film are very little. Director Dinesh Baboo easily takes the viewers for granted. He has not answered a few questions he puts on the big screen. What happened to the safety locker 164 that contained the chip? How did robot Upendra managed to function after just throwing the chip?

It is a lavishly made film no doubt. The presence of an expensive producer the brilliant Upendra and stylish cum thinker Dinesh Baboo could have given something more than what is done in ‘Hollywood’.

The script done by Upendra has got no earthshaking element in it. One Upendra is timid. He wants to win his lover. Another Upendra is fire in his attitude. He wants to produce a film in ‘Hollywood’ and get an Oscar. The heroine is behind this director Upendra. The timid Upendra in order to win the heart of his lover ask for the help of his boss. The boss immediately makes a robot Upendra. And the confusion starts. By the time everything is sorted with heroine Felicity the robot Upendra fights against goons and go in to pieces on earth when he comes in to contact with electricity. In between there is a monkey that is studying all the developments and the voice over for it (done by Ramesh Bhat) is only laughing element in the film.

There are all faces of Upendra. How does he look like in various mental make -up? Felicity is a mismatch. The photography is a classic part of this film. Ananthnag looks very funny. Pass marks to Melkote Seenu alias Lakshmi a monkey hired from Chennai. Remaining marks to actor Ramesh Bhat for matching the voice to monkey.

Mr Ramu the proud producer of Kannada filmdom – you have given a lavish film without working on the script and scintillating elements.

Prakash Rai says his dream of acting in Dinesh Baboo film has come true. Prakash Rai has acted in Dinesh Baboo’s forthcoming film ‘Priyanka’ which stars Priyanka Upendra in the lead role.

Prakash Rai was talking during the press meet of the film. ‘Till now I have acted in the direction of 300 plus directors. But till now I couldn’t act in a Dinesh Baboo film due to various reasons. I like his films very much and I always wanted to act in his direction. Last year Baboo had called me to collect the number of Abhilash who had acted in my ‘Oggarane’. During that time Baboo asked me whether I could act in the film for which I gladly obliged to’ said Prakash Rai.

Prakash Rai plays the role of an investigative officer in this film.

Priyanka Is My Costly Film - Baboo

Well known director cum cinematographer who was away from directing Kannada films due to various reasons is back with a new film called ‘Priyanka’. The film stars Priyanka Upendra, Prakash Rai, Abhilash, Shivadhwaj and others in prominent roles.

Dinesh Baboo has silently wrapped up the film and on Thursday evening the teaser and the songs of the film were released.

Dinesh Baboo says the film is based on a real incident which occurred in Bangalore last year. Though the case regarding the real incident is not yet solved, Baboo has based the story on the incident and has given a conclusion to the film. The film was shot in November last year and is ready for release.

When asked whether the film is a typical Dinesh Baboo low budget film, Baboo says the film is a big budget film compared to his standards. ‘Normally I wrap up the shooting of my films in a very limited time. I have completed a film in just 10 days also. But I took 32 days to complete the film, which is costly compared to my standards’ laughs Dinesh Baboo.

The film will be released sometime in May.

Actress Shanvi Srivatsav who was last seen in Rakshit Shetty's 'Avane Shirmannarayana' is back with a new film 'Kasturi Mahal'. This time, Shanvi has replaced Rachita Ramin in the film.

'Kasthuri Mahal' was launched one month ago and Rachita Ram was selected as the heroine. Rachita was also present at the launch and had expressed that it is nice to be a part of the film. However, the actress walked out of the film, just when the shooting was nearing. 

Though the actress cited date clash for her exit, team says she suggested a few changes, which was not accepted by senior director Dinesh Baboo. So, Rachita walked out of the film and Dinesh Baboo has found a replacement in Shanvi.

'Kasturi Mahal' is written and directed by Dinesh Baboo and it is his 50th film. The film deals with paranormal activity and stars Shanvi Srivatsav, Skanda, Narayanaswamy, Shruthi Prakash and others in prominent roles.The shooting for the film is all set to start from first week of October.
