The first look of Vijay starrer 'Kanaka' has finally been released. Recently, the photo shoot for the film was held and ace photographer Mahendra Simha has done the photo shoot in the streets of Bangalore. Vijay is playing the role of auto driver in this film. 

The shooting for R Chandru's new film 'Kanaka' starring 'Duniya' Vijay in the lead role started in January. Only one schedule of the film is complete and the team is yet to start the second schedule of the film.

The first look trailer of Vijay starrer 'Kanaka' which is being directed by R Chandru is all set to be released on the 1st of November on occasion of Rajyotsava.

The shooting for 'Kanaka' started earlier this year and the shooting for the film is complete. The film is in the post-production stage currently and the trailer will be released on the 01st of November.

One more heroine was supposed to be a part of this schedule and earlier Rachita Ram was selected for the role. However, Rachita walked out of the film due to various reasons and now Haripriya has been selected in her place.

Duniya Vijay is back to doing what his fans want him to do. In Jackson, he fights like a super hero and entertains like a rock star. In this film he also dances like one. He also gets to sing bits of over 15 popular songs. It seems the fans wanted nothing more as they lap up this action-comedy entertainer. 

Jackson is not a regular hero-heroine romantic film with comedy. Though Vijay and Pavana play the lead pair and their story is also about a romance, it is only one track of the film. There are several tracks in the film with different characters having their own progression and back stories. All the incidents of the different tracks finally converge seamlessly and there is a bumper of a climax.

Every scene in the film is made to create laughter. So in the beginning the different tracks seem to be going in different directions. However, post interval, we known that they are headed for a convergence. With various twists and turns and some more twists and turns to give the audience the full value for their money, the film takes them on a joy ride for nearly two and half hours. 

Vijay is rocking in his role while giving him great company in the comedy department is Rangayana Raghu. Aishwarya and Pavana do a great job in their roles. While Pavana is paired with Vijay Aishwarya has a separate love track in which she excels in the acting department. Every character has its charm from that of Karisubbu to that of Nagendra Shaa. 

In the technical department what stands out is the editing and cinematography. Choreography for Vijay is another plus point. Music by Arjun Janya and the lyrics by Yograj Bhat creates raw energy. Though a comedy film basically, there is enough drama and other sentiments to keep the audience engaged throughout. In comedy the film does not go over the top and sticks to the basic plot necessities. Jackson is a decent film for a family outing to the theatres. 

'Duniya' Vijay starrer 'Jackson' which was earlier scheduled for a January 01st release is all set to release on the festival day of Sankranthi. The film was postponed due to star clash as Ganesh starrer 'Khushikhushiyagi' and Upendra starrer 'Shivam' were also scheduled for released on 01st and 2nd of January.

'Jackson' is a remake of Tamil hit 'Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara' starring Vijay Sethupathi and others. It stars Vijay, Rangayana Raghu, Kote Prabhakhar, Vrinda, Aishwarya Sindhogi and others in prominent roles. Arjun Janya is the music director of the film.

'Duniya' Vijay who acted for 1 Re remuneration in 'Ring Road Shubha' has acted for this film because the film is being produced by Vijay's friends Anil and Sundar who are with him for many years.

Actor 'Duniya' Vijay has said that distributor Jayanna should have complained to Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce instead of filing a complaint against him before the CCB police. Earlier, producer-distributor Jayanna had filed a verbal complaint to the CCB police against the actor for threatening him. Jayanna in his complaint had said that Vijay had threatened him on December 30th and 31st last year regarding theater issue. Jayanna had complained to the police on 03rd and the CCB had asked Vijay to appear before them on Monday.

After meeting the police, Vijay talked to the media and said that he indeed had talked to Jayanna regarding the theater issue, but not had threatened him. 'I had called Jayanna, but had not threatened him. It was a simple matter and I called him up as Jayanna is my friend. If he had any complaints, he could have filed a complaint with the KFCC. I don't know why he complained to CCB' said Vijay.

The release date of Johnny Johnny Yes Papa starting Duniya Vijaya and Rachita Ram has been confirmed. The film was getting ready for release and now the date has been announced as March 30. Nartaki is the main theater.

The film is releasing in around over 200 screens across Karnataka. The film is directed by Preetham Gubbi and it is for the first time Vijay is paired with Rachita Ram.

The sequel to the hugely successful Johnny Mera Naam has released. Johnny Johnny Yes Papa recreates the magic of the original film. The film rides on the two impressive characters of Johnny and Papa played by Duniya Vijay and Rangayana Raghu. 

The film pays its respects to the original film. It is as colorful and as funny and as enjoyable. Comedy is the central theme of the film. Once again it is Johnny and his Papa who are the centre of attraction. Johnny has a strange office in the locality through which he solves the problem of all the people. It is a municipality hospital cum police station cum government office. In short it is an all-in-one shop. 

Now enter the 'New Padmavati'. Rachita Ram enters the scene. She is a career oriented girl who has set her sights on going abroad to study. But as luck would have it Johnny is in love with her. But he is still that shy boy when it comes to expressing love. Will he manage to succeed this time? 

There are many near misses. It is a story of so near yet so far for Johnny. Papa as usual can make his mind but not convince Johnny on anything. This leads to a series of comedy situations involving these two and the girl. There is also a young boy named Beeja who appears at all times giving the comedy a twist every now and then. 

Most of the film takes place in a huge set. This must be one of the biggest ones erected for a film. Director Preetham Gubbi has not lost sight of what made the first film a success. He repeats the success formula here. There are some very good enjoyable songs as well. The cinematography is top class and JJYP is a visual treat. 

JJYP is a fun party. You should join the party at the earliest to enjoy it to the fullest. There is no denying the fact that the film has everything good going for it. From the casting to the designs, it has entertainment written all over it. The performances of Vijay and Rangayana Raghu stands out. Rachita Ram is a charming presence as she breezes through the movie entering the hearts of not only the characters but also the audience.

Well known producer K P Srikanth who produced Shivarajakumar starrer 'Tagaru' has taken over the production of 'Duniya' Vijay's new film 'Salaga'.

Earlier, it was said that Vijay himself will be producing the commercial entertainer. However, Srikanth has taken over the project and will be producing the film under his Venus Enterprises banner.

The shooting for 'Salaga' will start soon. Meanwhile, the team is busy finalising a director, technicians and artistes for the film.

If everything had gone right, then the songs of 'Duniya' Vijay starrer 'Kanaka' was supposed to be released in Shidlagatta. Now the venue is changed and the songs will be released in Bangalore itself.

Earlier, director R Chandru has announced that the audio release event of the film has been scheduled on the 19th of November at his home town Shidlagatta. But due to various reasons and unavailability of public ground, the venue has been changed to Bangalore and the audio will be releasing in a five star hotel in Bangalore itself.

R Chandru returns with a film dedicated to Rajkumar and his ideals. Duniya Vijay stars as Kanaka, a fan of the late actor who has imbibed his ideals. How does such a person face problems in real life? That is the crux of the story of Kanaka which blends realism to ideals and gives audience a different kind of experience.

Kanaka is born on an inauspicious day according to an astrologer. His father believes it and does not treat his son properly. Kanaka runs away from home and lands up in Bengaluru. He lives for 15 years here after a film poster guy takes care of him. A medical student falls in love with him. But she has a past that he has to be careful about. A tragic incident prompts Kanaka to go back to his family after 15 years but things have not changed there. It has only worsened. Kanaka decides to do something for his family. But he has to face some powerful enemies and tackle their hate. How does he manage it?

There are actually two stories in Kanaka. One is the 15 years in Bengaluru where Kanaka grows up from being a small scared boy to an adventure seeking young man ready to face the world. The second story is about village politics. How Kanaka manages to overcome the faction ridden quest for power at the grassroot level forms the rivetting second half of the film. 

Chandru has delivered one more winner with Kanaka. Vijay delivers a very good performance ably supported by Ravishankar, Rangayana Raghu, Haripriya, Manvitha Harish and Sadhu Kokila. 

Technically the film is brilliant. Satya Hegde's camerawork captures the lavish sets beautifully. There is some beautiful music with the chartbuster Yenne Namdu Oota Nimdu turning out to be a craze.  Overall Kanaka is an entertaining package that will give you your money's worth.

The KFCC has cleared the names of Duniya Vijay, Nagashekar, Ravi Verma and producer on Sunday. They are now allowed to work in films. They had been asked not to work in films after November 8 tragedy during the shooting of the film Mastigudi that had resulted in the deaths of two actors Uday and Anil.

The work on the film had stopped after that as the producer, director, stunt master and others were arrested by police. The KFCC had also put a hold on continuing with the film. On Friday the four including Vijay had a meeting with KFCC president Sa Ra Govindu and others and gave an undertaking.

They have promised to complete the film and monetarily help the families of the two actors. The KFCC accepted this undertaking. The two actors who died are close friends of Vijay and it was Vijay who promoted them in films.

The Kannada film industry on Sunday stopped all the activities and supported the permanent water supply to Kolar district. On Sunday, many of the artistes and technicians assembled near the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce and went to Kolar and held a rally to support the permanent water supply to Kolar district.
