Only a few days ago Producer and Director Vishnukanth had to face humiliation of being thrown out from the film Manasugala Maathu Madhura he had conceived and launched. Now, he is facing another big problem in the form of non co-operation from his heroine Pooja Gandhi. When he had decided to launch a new film titled as `Ganga Cauvery' he had tought that he had bounced back from lower depths. But Alas, there is another big problem that he is facing now as his heroine Pooja Gandhi has refused to allot the crucial dates which is necessary for him to shoot the film in the Himalayas.

Vishnukanth has written the story and screen play of this film which will be shot in Himalayas. It is a triangular love story made in the backdrop of Himalayas. A new hero is being introduced in this film. Vishnukanth has already obtained the permission from all the state governments to shoot his film in many spectacular outdoor spots in Himalayas. He may well have to lose heavily if he does not shoot in those places on the specified dates. And he has to again obtain permission all over again which will be much more difficult. An angry and disgusted Vishnukanth has decided to approach Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce and complain against the attitude of Pooja Gandhi.

ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಜನಾಗೆ ನಾಯಕಿ ಪೂಜಾ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿತ್ತಾದರೂ, ಅವರಷ್ಟೇ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಪಾತ್ರ ತಮಗೂ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರಂತೆ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರು. ದಂಡುಪಾಳ್ಯ 2 ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂಜಾ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಎಂಬ ಪಾತ್ರ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರೆ, ಸಂಜನಾ ಅವರದ್ದು ಸಾವಿತ್ರಿ ಅನ್ನೋ ಹೆಸರಿನ ಪಾತ್ರ. 

ಆಕೆಗೆ ಅಭದ್ರತೆ ಕಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೇ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ - ಪೂಜಾ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು ಯಾರಿಗೆ?

ಯಾರದೋ ಒಬ್ಬರ ಹಿತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ, ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ಅನ್ಯಾಯ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲ. ನಾನೇನು ಖಾಲಿ ಕುಳಿತಿಲ್ಲ. ನನ್ನ ಕೈಲಿ ಕೂಡಾ ಮೂರು ಚಿತ್ರಗಳಿವೆ. ಆ ಚಿತ್ರದಿಂದ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಚಾರ ಸಿಗುತ್ತೆ ಎಂದಾದರೆ ಸಿಗಲಿ ಬಿಡಿ.  ನಾನು ಕನ್ನಡ, ತೆಲುಗು, ಮಲಯಾಳಂ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ಯುಸಿ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸಂಜನಾ ಅವರ ಅಷ್ಟೂ ಮಾತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂಜಾ ಗಾಂಧಿಯ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಸಿಟ್ಟು ಎದ್ದು ಕಾಣುತ್ತದಾದರೂ, ಎಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪೂಜಾಗಾಂಧಿ ಹೆಸರು ಹೇಳಿಲ್ಲ ಅನ್ನೋದೇ ವಿಶೇಷ.

ಶಬರೀಶ್ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುತ್ತಿರೋ ಸಂಹಾರಿಣಿ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಪೋಸ್ಟರ್ ರಿಲೀಸ್ ಅಗಿದೆ. ಜವಾಹರ್ ನಿರ್ದೇಸನದ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂಜಾ ಮಧ್ಯಮ ವರ್ಗದ ಹುಡುಗಿ ಪಾತ್ರ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಭ್ರಷ್ಟ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಸೇಡು ತೀರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳೋ ಹುಡುಗಿಯ ಪಾತ್ರವದು.

ಯುಎಫ್‍ಓ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ಯೂಬ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಏಕಸ್ವಾಮ್ಯದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಭಾರತ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗ ಸಮರಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಲ್ಲದೇ ಇದ್ದರೆ, ಈ ಚಿತ್ರ ಮೊದಲ ವಾರದಲ್ಲೇ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗಬೇಕಿತ್ತು. ಚಿತ್ರಗಳ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯನ್ನೇ ನಿರ್ಬಂಧಿಸಿ ಹೋರಾಡಿದ ಕಾರಣ, ಚಿತ್ರ ಈ ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ ವಾರ ತೆರೆಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿರುವುದು ದಂಡುಪಾಳ್ಯ ಹಂತಕರ ಕಥೆ. 3ನೇ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಥದ್ದೇನಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸುವವರಿಗೆ ಶ್ರೀನಿವಾಸರಾಜು ಗುಟ್ಟು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಡುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. `2'ನಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲ ತಪ್ಪು ಪೊಲೀಸರದ್ದೇ ಎಂಬ ರೀತಿಯ ಕಥೆ ಇತ್ತು. ಹಾಗಾದರೆ 3ರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಥೆ ಹೇಗೆ..? ಅದು ಸಸ್ಪೆನ್ಸ್. ಆ ಸಸ್ಪೆನ್ಸ್‍ಗೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಸಿಗುವುದು ಈ ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ. 

ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂಜಾಗಾಂಧಿ, ಶೃತಿ, ರವಿಶಂಕರ್.. ಇವರೆಲ್ಲ ಕಂಟಿನ್ಯೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಚಿತ್ರದ ಪೋಸ್ಟರ್ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ವಿಚಿತ್ರ ತಲ್ಲಣ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ.

Pooja Gandhi is dubbing her new film Abhinetri in eight languages apart from Kannada. The Kannada version which is ready will be released this month. The script work for the other languages; Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Hindi, Punjabi and Malayalam is in progress.

The film is inspired by the life of actress Kalpana and Pooja Gandhi feels that since it is a universal subject the film will work in all languages. Currently the actress is getting ready for a publicity blitz for the Kannada film and will announce the release date officially on January 8.

An old quotable quote says something like 'show me a hero and I will write you a tragedy.' It is something similar with film superstars. Pooja Gandhi's film Abhinetri really starts with the tragic scene of a film star writing her death note. The rest of the film reveals how she got there. However the film is not a tear-jerker. It is a comprehensive (disclaimer apart) but unacknowledged biopic of late actress Kalpana. Even the names of the characters (Sharat Latha for one) does not disagree. It is another story that this film would have been better off claiming to be the biopic of Kalpana officially. The film for its part is a nostalgic journey of the Kannada film industry in the 1960s and the 1970s. The protagonist is an actress who comes to Madras to become a film star. But the journey is not a free-flowing film script! That much is expected. But an imagined story is never a match for a real one. That is where the beauty of Abhinetri lies. If you know the history of the Kannada film industry, you will love this film.

Everyone wants their pound of flesh for making a star ot of an actress. But she stands her ground and becomes a star on her own terms. But stardom gets to her head. She displays contempt for the individuals in the system who looked down upon her when she was a nobody. For not changing her attitude and ideals according to the changing times, she pays the ultimate price. The film has to be seen in the whole to realise its magnitude which the director has captured in a little more than two hours.

Pooja Gandhi gives a performance of a lifetime. Her diction could have been better though. Makarand Deshpande, Atul Kulkarni shine in their roles. Achyuth and Ramesh Bhat have brief roles but effective. It is Ravishankar who really shines in the role of the drama company owner. Mano Murthy delivers five good songs and a good recreation of the old song 'Tam nam tam nam'.

As producer Pooja Gandhi has taken a big challenge with such a script and succeeded. If only two films have to be chosen from her career, Abhinetri would be one and the other is obvious.

Shooting for the sequel to the 2012 sensational film Dandupalya is complete. The film is directed by Srinivas Raju and has Pooja Gandhi, Makrand Deshpande, Ravi Kale, Karisubbu, Yethiraj, Ravishankar, Muni among the cast. The cast and director remain the same.

However the producer has changed, according to sources. The original film was a big hit and had created a sensation for its portrayal of the serial killer gang of Bengaluru. Dandupalya 2 was announced after that and the film took time to complete. However it is complete now. Confident of the success of the film, director Srinivas Raju is already preparing for part 3 of the film titled Dandupalya 3. The shooting for Dandupalya 3 will begin in April.

With 'Natikoli' being postponed indefinitely, director Srinivasaraju has silently started the shooting of his new film 'Dandupalya 2'. After the release of 'Dandupalya', Srinivasaraju had said that he will be directing the sequel soon. However, the director got busy with 'Shivam', 'Natikoli' and other projects. Now with 'Natikoli' being postponed Srinivasaraju has started 'Dandupalya 2'.

The film is being produced by Venkat and the star cast including Pooja Gandhi and others will be playing major roles.

Dandupalya Movie Review

Srinivas Raju's new film '3' which is the continuation of 'Dandupalya' and '2' is all set to release in the month of January. Meanwhile, the trailer of the film was released on Saturday evening.

'Dandupalya 2' is being produced by Venkat and Srinivas Raju himself has written the story and screenplay of the film. Venkat Prasad is the cameraman, while Arjun Janya has composed the music for the film. 

Pooja Gandhi, Ravi Kaale, Makrand Deshapande, Shruthi, Sanjana, Danny Kuttappa, Jaidev, Ravishankar and others have played prominent roles in the film. Arjun Janya is the cameraman. Ram Talluri is the producer.

Actress Pooja Gandhi is producing a documentary on the Kalasa Banduri drinking water project. Setting aside some time from the new film Ravani that she is producing and acting in now, the film team will make the documentary in about a month's time.

The documentary will be released in Prof MD Nanjundaswamy's memorial Amrita Bhoomi in Chamrajnagar later this year. At least half a dozen Sandalwood stars will be part of the project which will start on Tuesday.

Actress Pooja Gandhi acted movie 'Jilebi' has been censored with A certificate without any cuts. Movie is being written and directed by Lucky Shankar. Recently Pooja Gandhi made a special appearance to the 'Big Boss' house and gifted Jilebis to every contestant of the house

One of the highlights of Jilebi film is Pooja is playing three different characters in the film which is an out and out comedy. Shankar says the film has many comedy actors playing prominent roles in the film.

The film is being produced by Shivashankar Film Factory which had earlier produced 'Devrane' and 'Cigarette'.

Pooja Gandhi starrer 'Jilebi', Dhananjay's 'Eradane Sala' is all set to hit the screens on the 03rd of March.

Pooja Gandhi starrer 'Jilebi' stars Yashas Surya, Tabla Nani, Shobharaj , Dattanna, Nagendra, Mitra, Rockline Sudhakar and others is being written and directed by Lucky Shankar.

'Eradane Sala' stars Dhananjay, Sangeetha Bhatt and Lakshmi in lead roles. Samrat Ashok is the cameraman and Guruprasad is in charge of story, screenplay, dialogues and lyrics apart from directing the film, while Yogish Narayan is the producer.

The Kannada film industry on Sunday stopped all the activities and supported the permanent water supply to Kolar district. On Sunday, many of the artistes and technicians assembled near the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce and went to Kolar and held a rally to support the permanent water supply to Kolar district.

Dr.Kiran has turned out to be a big liar as for as his claims to the ownership of the car is concerned.  The documents available in Chitraloka obtained from registration authorities have revealed the owner of the car is Pawan Kumar B Gandhi who is none other than the father of actress Pooja Gandhi.

Kiran had claimed that he was the owner of the car and had even promised to get the copy of the registration of the car.  He had also said that the accident to the car that was owned by him had triggered off misunderstandings between him and Pooja Gandhi who was infact very closer to him earlier.  But now Chitraloka has obtained the documents which have falsified his claims.

Dr. Kiran had also claimed that he had jointly owned the travels company with Pooja Gandhi which was named as P K travels.  But it has now come to light that the ownership may be that of Pawan Kumar, father of Pooja Gandhi.

Incidentally as Chitraloka portal had earlier reported there has been a police complaint filed by both Pooja Gandhi and Kiran against each other.  It is now reported that Police are questioning Kiran about the ownership of the car and also about some of the documents submitted by Pooja Gandhi to substantiate her complaints.  

The beautiful actress and producer Pooja Gandhi who drenched the Kannada cinegoers through her notable performances in her debut venture 'Mungaru Male' and later went on to achieve more in her decade long career, is back in 'action'.

In her next titled 'Samharini', for which Pooja has completed the shoot, will be seen in an out and out action packed thriller. Directed by K Jawahar, the action thriller will feature Maley Hudugi wielding knife and holding pistols for a change. The movie in simple terms talks about women's will and her capabilities to achieve and do anything.

She will be fighting against Bollywood's villains Rahul Dev, and our own Ravi Kale, Hari Josh in the film.

Master Anand and Pooja Gandhi have entered the finals of the third season of the 'Big Boss'. The other two contestants entering the final will be finalised on Saturday. This week there were six contestants left in the 'Big Boss' house including Shruthi, Pooja Gandhi, Rehman, Ayyappa, Master Anand and Chandan. Of the six Pooja Gandhi got a direct entry to the finals as she was elected as the captain this week and stayed out of the nomination for elimination.

Of the five contestants, four except Master Anand was nominated for elimination. No one nominated Master Anand for elimination and he also got a direct entry to the final rounds.

Now Master Anand and Pooja Gandhi have got a direct entry to the finals and two others who will be entering the final round will be finalised on Saturday.

Srinivasaraju who is happy with the success of 'Kathe Chitrakathe Nirdeshana Puttanna' has silently completed the photo shoot of his latest film 'Dandupalya 2' recently. Srinivasaraju had announced that he would be directing a sequel to 'Danduplaya' even before the release of the film. However, after 'Dandupalya', Srinivasaraju got busy directing 'Shiva' and 'Kathe Chitrakathe Nirdeshana Puttanna'. Now that he is thorough with both the films, Srinivasaraju has decided to start 'Dandupalya 2' and has completed the photo shoot of the film.

The sequel starts Pooja Gandhi, Ravishankar, Ravi Kaale, Makarand Deshapande, Karisubbu, Yatiraj, Jayadev and others in prominent roles. The film is expected to go on floors soon.

Actress Pooja Gandhi and director JD Chakravarthy have teamed up for a new film even before their earlier announced film Raavani goes on the floor. Chakravarthy was to direct the film with Pooja in the lead. But even before that they are starting another film which is as yet untitled.

In this film, Chakravarthy will be acting in the lead role with Pooja Gandhi. Both Chakravarthy and Pooja Gandhi are producing this film. Raavani will start after this film.
