T S Nagabharana's 'Allama' has got two major awards at the 64th National Film awards. While Bapu Padmanabh has been adjudged as the best music director, Make-up Ramakrishna has got the best make-up award. Apart from this a Kannada film called 'Reservation' has got the best regional film award.

Dhananjay is seen in the role of Allama in this film, while Meghana Raj plays the role of courtesan Maya. Sanchari Vijay is Basavanna. The script of the film has been written by Siddagangaiah Kambal, N S Sridharamurthy, Pratibha Nandakumar, Prof Chandrashekhar Ushala and Sripathy Manjanabail. The dialogues of the film are written by Pratibha Nandakumar, Siddagangaiah Kambal and Veerappa Maralavadi.

Hari Khoday who produced some classic films like 'Santha Shishunala Sharifa', 'Mysoru Mallige' and 'Nagamandala' is the producer. Dhananjay, Meghana Raj, Ramakrishna, Sanchari Vijay, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy and others have played prominent roles in the film. G S Bhaskar is the cameraman, while Bapu Venkatesh is the music director.

Actress Bharathi Vishnuvardhan who is a recipient of the Padmasri award for the year 2017 and others who won major awards at the national level are all set to be felicitated on 15th of April.

The felicitation programme has been organised by the Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy and the programme has been scheduled on Saturday evening at the Gandhi Bhavan in Bangalore.

Apart from Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, Bapu Padmanabh, Ramakrishna, Nikhil Manju, master Manohar and others also will be felicitated at the same occasion.

Sridevi has won a national award for acting just weeks after her death. The Best Actress Award has been awarded posthumously for her last film ‘Mom’ which released in July last year. The film is directed by Ravi Udyawar and produced by her husband Boney Kapoor. Sridevi's performance as a biology teacher who has to take care of her step daughter won her the award. 

The 65th National Film Awards was announced today and among the winners are Hebbet Ramakka the Kannada film for the best regional language film. Paddayi has won the best regional language film award in Tulu. Another award for Kannada is the best lyrics award for the film. The lyrics Muthuratna from the film March 22 has bagged this award. Hebbet Ramakka is directed by NR Nanjunde Gowda and has Tara playing the lead role.

'Sanchari' Vijay who won the National award for best actor for his performance in the film 'Nanvanalla Avalu' was felicitated in Bangalore on Wednesday night at Gold Finch Hotel. The event was organised by none other than actor-director-producer Prakash Rai.

The event was attended by well known actor-director Parthiban, V Ravichandran, Girish Kasaravalli, B Suresha, Jogi and others. The dignitaries felicitated the award winners and lauded not only the awardees for their effort but also about Prakash Rai who had organised such a function.

Apart from Vijay, producer Ravi Garani and director Lingadevaru of 'Nanavanalla Avalu' and 'Harivu' producer Girish as well as director Mansore was felicitated during the occasion.

Actor Sanchari Vijay has won the best actor award at the 62nd National film awards for his performance in 'Nan Avanalla Avalu'. Vijay is the third actor from Kannada who has bagged the best actor award at the national level the other two being Vasudeva Rao (Chomana Dudi) and Charu Hassan (Thabarana Kathe).

'Nan Avanalla Avalu' is a film being based on a true life of a transgender called Vidya. The film has been directed by Lingadevaru. Earlier, Vijay had acted in films like 'Dasvala', 'Oggarane' and others. He was lauded by critics for his performance in 'Dasvala'. Now Vijay has bagged the best actor award at the National level.

It's a perfect festival gift for Kannada film industry, as it bagged a record 13 awards at the 66th National Film Awards. While 10 film awards is for feature films category and two are for non-feature category. Also, Mookajjiya Kanasugalu has been selected for National Film Archive of India.

Naticharamni directed by Manjunatha Somashekara Reddy (ManSoRe), which dealt with a sensitive subject revolving around a widow has bagged five awards including a special mention of the actress Sruthi Hariharan who portrayed the role of Gowri.

That apart, Prashanth Neel's KGF starring Rocking Star Yash has bagged two awards for best action and special effects. It shares the special effect with Telugu psychological thriller Awe.

Whereas, Sarkari. Hi. Pra. Shale Kasaragodu, Koduge Ramanna Rai is adjudged as Best Children's Film and best child artiste artiste P V Rohit for Ondalla Eradall

 The Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration goes to Kannada film Ondalla Eradalla.

Kannada film Thithi, directed by Raam Reddy has bagged the best Kannada Film National Award. It is the only Kannada film to win a national award this year. It is the 63rd National Film Awards that was announced today.

Telugu film Baahubali has won the best film award while Sanjy Leela Bhansali won the best director award. Amitabh Bachchan and Kangana Ranaut won the best actor and actress award. Thithi has already won awards in international film festivals and it was the opening film at the recent Bengaluru International Film Festival

65ನೇ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಘೋಷಣೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದು ಕೇವಲ ಮೂರು ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ. ಇದುವರೆಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿರುವ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳು. ಇಷ್ಟು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕನ್ನಡ ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಯಾವತ್ತೂ ಪಡೆದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಎನ್.ಆರ್. ನಂಜುಂಡೇಗೌಡರು ಕಥೆ ಹೇಳಿದಾಗಲೇ ಇಷ್ಟವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ನಟನೆ ಸವಾಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಯ ಖುಷಿ ನನಗೆ ಹೊಸದಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ, ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಬಂದ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನಿದ್ದೆ ಎನ್ನುವುದೇ ಆನಂದದ ಸಂಗತಿ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ತಾರಾ ಅನುರಾಧ.

ಒಂದೊಳ್ಳೆ ಹಾಡು ಬರೆದ ಖುಷಿಯಿತ್ತು. ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತ್ತು. ಈಗ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿರುವ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಹಾಡು ಬರೆಯಲು ಪ್ರೇರಣೆ ನೀಡಿದೆ ಎಂದವರು ಚಿತ್ರ ಸಾಹಿತಿ ಜೆ.ಎಂ.ಪ್ರಹ್ಲಾದ್.

ಪಡ್ಡಾಯಿ, ಮೊಗವೀರರ ನೆಲದ ಕಥೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ತುಳುವಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಚಿತ್ರ ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ, ಭಾಷೆಯ ಸೊಗಡು ತಾಕುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿಯೇ ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಈಗ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿರುವ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ತೃಪ್ತಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದೆ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಅಭಯಸಿಂಹ.

ಅಂದಹಾಗೆ ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಅಂತಿಮ ಸುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡದಿಂದ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದು ಕೇವಲ 4 ಚಿತ್ರಗಳಂತೆ. ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ, ನಿರೂಪಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸತನವಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಪ್ರಯೋಗಶೀಲತೆಯ ಕೊರತೆ ಎದ್ದು ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿತ್ತು ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಪಿ.ಶೇಷಾದ್ರಿ. ಶೇಷಾದ್ರಿ, ಈ ಬಾರಿ ತೀರ್ಪುಗಾರರ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.

ನಾತಿಚರಾಮಿ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕ ಚಿತ್ರ, ಸಂಕಲನ, ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ, ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ಗಾಯಕಿ ಹಾಗೂ ನಟಿ ಶ್ರುತಿ ಹರಿಹರನ್‍ಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದೆ. ಒಂದಲ್ಲ ಎರಡಲ್ಲಾ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ನರ್ಗಿಸ್ ದತ್ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಭಾವೈಕ್ಯತಾ ಚಿತ್ರ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಪಿ.ವಿ.ರೋಹಿತ್‍ಗೆ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಬಾಲನಟ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ
