R Chandru's new film 'Kabza' has been officially launched in Bangalore on Monday at the Kanteerava Studio. Shivarajakumar sounded the clap for the first shot of the film. Meanwhile, the film is all set to have a muhurath in Telugu and Tamil also.

This is the first time that a Kannada film is being launched in other languages also. Director cum producer R Chandru is planning to officially launch the film in Telugu and Tamil in the coming days. The film will be launched in Hyderabad and Tamil and well known artistes of the respective industries will be sounding the clap for the first shot of the Telugu and Tamil versions.

The theme poster of Upendra starrer 'Kabza' released by Ramgopal Varma is getting good appreciation all over. Meanwhile, the team is planning to resume the shooting of the film from the month of October.

The team had completed 40 percent of the film, when lockdown was announced. Director-producer R Chandru stalled the shooting and was waiting for the right time to start the shooting. Now that many teams are moving ahead with their films, Chandru is planning to resume the shooting from October.

Already, the setwork has been started in Kanteerava Studios and Minerva Mills. Once the setwork completes, R Chandru plans to shoot the film. This time Kabir Singh Duhan, Jagapathi Babu, Subbaraju and others will be joining along with Upendra.

After shooting major portions in the sets, R Chandru is planning to shoot other portions of the film in Mangalore Harbour, Pondicherry, Gateway of India in Mumbai, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhan and other places. R Chandru plans to shoot the climax of the film in South Africa.

'Kabza' is written and directed by R Chandru and this time Chandru is planning to release the film in 7 languages simultaneously. The film is being made in Kannada and will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali and Marathi languages.  

The shooting for 'Kabza' which was stalled due to Covid in last March, has finally resumed from Wednesday. Upendra, who acted in Telugu film 'Ghani' is back in Bangalore and will be participating in the shooting of the film.

Director-Producer R Chandru has planned to complete a major portion of the film in the next 60 days and will be shooting extensively in Bangalore for the next two months. 40 sets have been erected in Bangalore's Minerva Mill and the shooting will take place continuously there. Sudeep, Kabir Singh Duhan, Jagapathi Babu, Subbaraju and others will be joining along with Upendra in this schedule.

]With this long schedule, 80 percent of the film will be completed after which Chandru is planning to shoot in Mangalore Harbor, Pondicherry, Gateway of India in Mumbai and in North India.

'Kabza' is being made in Kannada and will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali and Marathi languages. Ravi Basrur is in charge of the music.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕವೊಂದರಲ್ಲೇ ಈ ಚಿತ್ರ 20 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಗಳಿಸಿದೆ. ಹಿಂದಿ ಭಾಷೆಯಿಂದ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ 12 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಹರಿದು ಬಂದಿದೆ. ತೆಲುಗು ಭಾಷೆಯಿಂದ 7 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ, ತಮಿಳಿನಿಂದ 5 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ, ಮಲಯಾಳಂನಿಂದ 3 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದೇಶದಿಂದ 8 ಕೋಟಿ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಗಳಿಕೆ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ಮೊದಲ ದಿನದ ಕಂಪ್ಲೀಟ್ ಡೀಟೈಲ್ಸ್ ಮಾತ್ರ. ಬುಧವಾರ ಯುಗಾದಿ ಹಬ್ಬ ಇದ್ದು, ಆ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ರಜೆ ಇದೆ. ಅದು ಕೂಡ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ವರದಾನವಾಗಿದೆ. ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಬಜೆಟ್ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳು ರಿಲೀಸ್ ಆಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದು ಕೂಡ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕಾರಿ ಆಗಿದೆ.

After the success of 'I Love You', R Chandru is all set to direct Upendra again in a new film. The title of the film has been unveiled during the 100 days function of 'I Love You' and the film has been titled as 'Kabza'.

This time the film will be released in 7 languages simultaneously. Chandru is planning to make the film in Kannada and release it in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali and Marathi languages.

This is Chandru and Upendra's third outing after 'Bramha' and 'I Love You'. Chandru has chosen an underworld subject this time and will be telling a story about the modern underworld.

The final schedule of R Chandru's new film 'Kabzaa'  is all set to start from mid-July. Meanwhile, a combo poster of Upendra and Sudeep was released on Sunday morning at 6 AM on social media.

Earlier, Chandru had released the poster of Upendra on various occasions. However, last year Sudeep made an entry portraying the role of Bhargav Bakshi in the film. The sketch of Sudeep was released last year. Now, the combo poster of both Upendra and Sudeep was released on Sunday.

The shooting for 'Kabzaa' started in February this year and Chandru shot major portions of the film in specially erected sets in Minerva Mill in Bangalore. The shooting for the film would have been completed by now, if not for the lockdown. Now that the permission for shooting has been given, Chandru plans to shoot the remaining portions soon. The film will not only be shot in Bangalore, but also in Mumbai and northern parts of India.

One of the most ambitious multilingual project in Kannada, which is being made in seven different languages - Kabza returns for its second schedule shooting.

Director R Chandru shared that the Kabza's second schedule shoot started from Monday with huge sets been erected for the project. Calling it as a new version of the underworld, the film featuring Real Star Upendra being made in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Oriya and Marathi.

'Kichcha' Sudeep acting in R Chandru's new venture 'Kabzaa' is not new. The sketch poster of the actor has been released on Thursday and Sudeep is said to play the role of Bhargav Bakshi in the film.

Well, the name of Sudeep's character in the film might have been revealed. But the character he is playing is yet to be revealed. Is he a  protagonist or antagonist is a matter of secrecy and director-producer R Chandru says that it is too early to talk about the role of Sudeep and his character will be a major twist to the story.

Meanwhile, R Chandru plans to start the shooting of 'Kabzaa' from February. Chandru had completed 40 percent of the shooting before lockdown and had planned to release the film earlier this year. However, the film got delayed due to lockdown and  the team intends to complete the shoot by the first half of this year.

The birth of a new saga

Rather than trying to be stand-alone classics, every film today wants to be a franchise, a cinematic universe of its own; a saga that can be reinvented repeatedly. Kabzaa can only be accused of following the inevitable march of the entire film industry towards such an eventuality. The comparison R Chandru’s Kabzaa has drawn with the KGF franchise is well-founded. At the end of this new film, I was left with the same feeling that came after watching Chapter 1 of KGF. Kabzaa is a two hour long trailer for what is to come in Kabzaa 2! It sets the stage for a bigger action carnival, a coming together of top stars of Sandalwood to entertain fans at all costs.

Kabzaa does not pretend to be anything else than an underworld action spectacle inspired by the pan-India culture sweeping the film industries all over the country. Grand sets, big guns, bigger bombs, a dark theme, sweeping landscapes, CG that blur the distinction between reel and reality, multitude of characters that is hard to keep count of let alone track and a narrative so fast you hardly have time to appreciate or depreciate what happened just a fraction of a second ago are the hallmarks of Kabzaa. It feels like a few hundred hours of footage has been cramped into two hours. And perhaps this is exactly the kind of narrative that can keep the eternally distracted audience away from their mobile phones. Take your eyes off the screen for just a second and you would have missed half a dozen shots.

As for the story, there is so much said and also much more unsaid. A queen mother escapes from a small principality in north India to the south with her two sons as her husband is murdered. One of her sons is destined to become an underworld don. One stunning fight sequence is followed by the other with just enough time in between for a one-liner. The emotions and glamour are treated with utmost disdain as it is the next visually stunning treat that is more important. Kabzaa is a vaudevillian act and storytelling technique where visual magic engulfs everything else, including the tale.

R Chandru has outdone himself in every department. It is impossible to conceive that Kabzaa came out of his imagination. He deserves to be appreciated for coming out of his comfort zone and trying to create something on such a grand scale. It is a rough-cut diamond no doubt but he has shown the determination to seek out a vision. If imitation is the best form of flattery, he has done ‘his best’ adulation of KGF.

Upendra, as Arakeshwara, the reluctant underworld don had his task cut out and does what Chandru has told him to do. Sudeep plays a small but fan-favourite role. He is only the narrator in what is revealed in the end as the first episode of a franchise. Shiva Rajkumar, appearing only in the last scene sets the tone for Kabzaa 2. The hundreds of other characters which appear are mere footnotes in the huge canvas the director splashes with dark colours.

Kabzaa is a film made for the big screen. Watching three big Sandalwood stars faceoff against each other is worth the visit to theatres. This one for Sandalwood.

Kiccha Sudeep -Upendra Starrer Most anticipated Kabza Movie's Trailer will Be Released on September 18th on the occasion of Upendra's Birthday. Speaking to Chitraloka, director R Chandru has confirmed the news. The trailer will be released in Telugu, Tamil. Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali and Marathi languages.

Kannada multi-starrer Kabzaa has grossed around Rs.26 crores across India on the first day of release on Friday, March 17. Out of this, the Kannada version has grossed Rs.11 crore in Karnataka alone. Trade sources in the film industry arrived at this figure and said that despite not obtaining any over-hype, the film has managed to get a very good opening at the box office.

On Friday, the first, second and late night shows picked up pace compared to the morning and matinee shows. The film was released in over 400 screens across Karnataka. Trade analysts Chitraloka spoke to say that Saturday and Sunday would see better business for the film and even advance bookings point towards this trend.

The film was released to coincide with the birthday of Puneeth Rajkumar and stars Upendra in the lead with Sudeep and Shiva Rajkumar in important roles. With the summer holidays and Ugadi festival coming up, the big-budget action extravaganza is likely to become the first Rs.100 crore grosser from Kannada in 2023. Will it achieve the feat within one week or wait for the second weekend to shore up grosses is to be seen. Trade expects the film to pick up pace on Saturday and Sunday while the weekdays are expected to be normal.

The film is produced by Sri Siddeshwara Enterprises of R Chandru who is also the writer and director of the film. This is Chandru’s biggest-budget film in his career till date. The film boasts of some of the most spectacular action sequences seen on Kannada screen and a stylish and grand making winning the accolades of the public who have watched it. Critics have praised the film’s grandeur, rich sets and design.

One of the highlights of the film is, Chandru has roped in seven artistes who are known for villainous roles in different languages. Nana Patel, Prakash Rai, Jagapathi Babu, Jayaprakash Reddy, Pradeep Rawath, Manoj Bajpayee and Samudrakani will be acting in the film opposite Upendra.

The shooting for the film will start from November 15th and will continue in Mumbai, Kolkatta, Chennai, Hyderabad and other places. The photo shoot of the film will be held on the 10th of November. 

Upendra starrer 'Kabza' is in news yet again. Recently, actor Shivarajakumar had launched the official website ( www.kabzamovie.com) of 'Kabza'. Now well known director Ramgopal Verma has launched the Theme Poster of the film.

Upendra is celebrating his birthday (September 18) and director R Chandru had requested Ramgopal Verma to release the Theme Poster of the film for which RGV had given his consent. According to that, RGV not only released the poster, but also praised the team's effort in making the film.

'Kabza' is written and directed by R Chandru and this time Chandru is planning to release the film in 7 languages simultaneously. The film is being made in Kannada and will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali and Marathi languages.

Actor Shivarajakumar recently launched the official website of Kannada film 'Kabza' starring Upendra. The website which is called www.kabzamovie.com contains information and photos of artists and technicians.

The launch was attended by politician M T B Nagaraj who is also presenting the film. Shivarajakumar launched the website and wished the team a huge success.

The most expected movie Kabza is all set to release on March 17th which is also powerstar Puneeth Rajkumar's Birthday.

 Kabza had Superstar Upendra and Kichcha Sudeep in lead. Now director R Chandru has revealed the poster which is having hat trick hero Shivarajkumar in the movie. 'Kabza' is being made in Kannada and will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Bengali and Marathi languages. Ravi Basrur is in charge of the music.

Upendra's new film 'Kabza' being produced and directed by R Chandru is all set to be launched on the 18th of November. Meanwhile, it is being said that Upendra plays a 80s don in the film.

Recently, the photo shoot of the film has been done and Upendra is seen in a retro look in the film. Cars of that era has been used in and Upendra's look also makes one remember of the 1980s. Though Chandru has not revealed anything about the film, he has said that his film is a new version of the underworld.

The launch of the film is scheduled on Monday in Kanteerava Studio and Shivarajakumar will be sounding the clap for the first shot of the film and Bangalore City Commissioner Bhaskar Rao will be switching on the camera.

Upendra starrer 'Kabza' being directed and produced by R Chandru has been officially launched on Monday. Though the film has been launched, the heroine of the film is yet to be selected and there is a news that Kajal Agarwal might be roped in as the heroine of the film.

Kajal Agarwal being roped in as the heroine has been doing the rounds for quite sometime. However, Chandru says that if Kajal gives her dates by December, she will be the heroine, otherwise he has to look for another option.

'We are already in talks with Kajal Agarwal for the heroine's role. Though she has liked the story and we are okay with her remuneration, there is a confusion regarding her dates. Kajal is busy and is likely to give dates by April next year. However, we are starting the shooting by December and we want her dates by that time. If we get the dates by that time, Kajal will be the heroine of the film. Otherwise, we have to look for another option' says R Chandru.
