Yogaraj Bhatt's 'Panchatantra' which was released on Friday across Karnataka is getting good response all over. Meanwhile, Bhatt has said that the film might not only be remade in Telugu, but he himself may direct the Telugu version of 'Panchatantra' in the coming days.

'Panchatantra' is getting dubbing and remake inquiries from other languages and there is a proposal from a Telugu producer to remake the film in Telugu. The producer is also planning to rope in Yogaraj Bhatt to direct the film in Telugu. Bhatt has also fixed the title of the film and has named the film as 'Andhra versus Telangana'. While Andhra represents the elders in the film, Telangana represents youngsters.

More details about the film is yet awaited.

Two of the big upcoming films, I Love You starring Upendra and directed by R Chandru and Panchatantra directed by Yogaraj Bhat will clash at the box office. Both films will release on February 14. The release date of I Love You was announced last week.

The audio launch of the film is this week. Meanwhile Panchatantra has finalised on the release date now. The clash of expected films is inevitable in the next few months as there are a huge number of big films lined up for release. This is the first high profile clash of 2019. But audience can expect more such offerings in the weeks to come.

The post production work on Panchatantra is underway. The shooting was completed sometime ago and the editing has also been locked. Some graphic work, background  score and other works are underway. 

At this juncture, I got the opportunity to watch some portions of the film. It is stunning to say the least. This is the first film of Yograj Bhat that is not completely a romantic film. Most of his films have romance as the basic subject. In Panchatantra  the subject is sports and action though there is a romantic angle also. The action portions I watched were some of the best I have seen in Kannada films. 

These are not the regular fights between hero and the villains. The action is more on the dirt tracks. Race car zoom across in a thrilling encounter which is to be seen to be believed. The pulse-racing adventure has been brilliantly captured and choreographed. It is a thriller and adrenaline pumping feast. 

When I interacted with Yograj Bhat after watching the film's scenes, I was wonder struck by how passionate he still is about every aspect of the film making process. Most fans are addicted to the lyrics he writes for his own films and those of other films. He has made 14 films in 14 years. It is just one film per year. That means, fans have to wait a long time for every new offering. That is because he invests so much time and effort in each film he makes. 

For Panchatantra he took the story from his team. He usually writes the story for his own films but has given a break to that this time. Panchatantra, from what I have seen so far, is quite unlike any film of Yograj Bhat or for that matter most films in Sandalwood. 

For starters it is one of the rare films on sports in Kannada. We have so many films on sports coming in Hindi in recent years. Stories of real sportspersons are being adapted to films frequently. That is missing in other language films in India. Though Panchantra is not about a real sports person it is about a sport that is not often featured in films. 

The film required a great deal of help for professionals of motorsport. You cannot just bring a sports car driven on dirt tracks and put an actor into it and start shooting. I could only imagine the effort gone into making these portions of the film. Speaking to Bhat, I realised that the effort was much more than I imagined. Renowned sandalwood director Yograj Bhat, is not only known for his versatility and multiple hit movies but also for encouraging new talented filmmakers and providing them the much needed opportunities in the industry. Numerous successful technicians have emerged from his camp till date.

While the director who is busy these days with the release of his latest from his production house 'Yograj Cinemas' - Panchatantra, which marks the debut of actor Vihan Gowda and others, has announced a short film contest for the aspiring filmmakers.

According to the director, the opportunity is for the aspiring talents, who are passionate about films. The competition comes with a set of conditions that it should not exceed more than 5 minutes, and it should compulsorily have the audio of the Panchatantra movie with minimum 10 seconds to 30 seconds.

Further, the a scene should be shot within the premises of a multiplex or single screen theatre, and it should also have a character of a senior citizen, a youngster and a car. Most importantly it should be shot in full HD mode.

Director Yogaraj Bhat is back with yet another masterpiece, and this time he dwells upon the mindsets of two different generations - one which is full of youth but lacks maturity and other comprising the gang of senior citizens who are mischievous by nature. The value addition to it comes in the form of a care race due to which Panchatantra wins the entertaining game in the end.

This one is filled with every typical element, which the Yogaraj Bhat fans can ask for. From his typical dialogues, songs to humour and emotional content, the director has spared none to make it a complete family entertainer. Plus the adventurous race in the second half makes it a must watch film.

On the outset, it is a simple tale which is inspired from the Hare and the Tortoise story from Aesop's fable, which emphasises the value of being slow and steady in achieving one's goal. Pegged around it, Bhat's Panchatantra has two rival gangs fighting it out for supremacy. The younger lot is headed by Karthik played by Vihan Gowda and and the elderly gang headed by Raganna played by Rangayana Raghu.

With a property dispute as the epicenter, the two gang fight it out to claim the ownership of it. The escapades during the process of pulling each other's leg gives Panchatantra the much needed punch for a joyful ride. In between there is a love story of Karthik and Sahitya, the daughter of Raganna. 

When Raganna finds about his daughter's love affair, the furious clash leads to an unusual challenge. The two gang then legally agree on a car race. The one who wins the race gets the property and Karthik gets his girl too. Vihaan, Akshara, Sonal and the gang puts up a formidable performance and the Rangayana Raghu, Kari Subbu and their experienced gang are at their usual best.

V. Harikrishna scores a couple of soothing romantic song along with the unusual ones penned by the director himself.

After all the laughter ride, the second half is about the car race and how the director smartly webs the age old value and its moral lessons is the essence of it. Watch it without fail to know who wins the race in the end.

The multi-talented and versatile director Yogaraj Bhat, who is gearing up for the release of his 'Panchatantra’ this Friday, has revealed that the movie taught him several new things.

“There are both advantages and disadvantages when compared working with star actors and new actors. As a director, one has to face them with equal attention and dedication. Panchatantra, is written bv Kantharaju and Maasti, one who was an auto rickshaw driver and another worked in police department. I had no idea about racing. Panchatantra made me learn all about it,” says Yogaraj Bhat.

As the title suggests, the movie is derived from Aesop's tale, and is based on the popular Hare and the Tortoise story which talks about the importance of being slow and steady in life.

The director shares that the story has been retold with certain cinematic liberties. “Race plays a major part in the film and it is between the two groups, the young and the aged ones. However, it is not entirely an action movie but it is more of an action-comedy genre which comes along with good music.

It stars newcomers Vihan, Sonal Montero, Akshara Gowda and Rangayana Raghu in the lead.

ಯೋಗರಾಜ್ ಭಟ್ಟರ ಪಂಚತಂತ್ರ ಕಥೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬಂತು..? ಅವರೇ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡಂತೆ ಇದು ಪಂಚತಂತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ, ಈಸೋಪನ ನೀತಿಕಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವ ಕಥೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊಳೆದ ಎಳೆ. ಆಮೆ ಮೊಲ ರೇಸಿನ ಕಥೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಅದು ಹೊಳೆದದ್ದು ಟೀ ಬನ್ನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಅಚ್ಚರಿಯಾದೀತು.

ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಕಥೆ ಬರೆದಿರೋದು ಟಗರು ಮಾಸ್ತಿ. ಟಗರು ಮೂಲಕ ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆಗೆ ಹೊಸ ಟಚ್ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮಾಸ್ತಿ, ಈ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಕಥೆ, ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆ ಎರಡನ್ನೂ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮಾಸ್ತಿ ಕೂಡಾ ಭಟ್ಟರ ಗರಡಿಯ ಹುಡುಗನೇ. ಕಥೆ ಹುಡುಕಾಟದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ ಭಟ್ಟರ ಕಚೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಟೀ ಕುಡಿಯುತ್ತಾ ಬನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಈ ಕಥೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ರಂತೆ ಮಾಸ್ತಿ. ಅದಕ್ಕೂ ಮುಂಚೆ ಇಡೀ ದಿನ ಮಾಸ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದ ಹಲವು ಕಥೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದವರಿಗೆ ಇದು ತುಂಬಾ ಇಷ್ಟವಾಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದೆ. ಶಾರ್ಟ್ ಫಿಲಂಗೆಂದು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಕಥೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗೆ ಒಗ್ಗಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಭಟ್ಟರು.

ಇಡೀ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ಪ್ರಣಯ, ರೇಸ್, ತರಲೆ, ವೇದಾಂತ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ಇದೆ. ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ಹುಣ್ಣಾಗಿಸುವಷ್ಟು ಕಾಮಿಡಿ ಇದೆ. ವಿಹಾನ್-ಸೋನಾಲ್ ರೊಮ್ಯಾನ್ಸು, ರಂಗಾಯಣ ರಘು ಅದ್ಭುತ ಅಭಿನಯ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಹೈಲೈಟು. ಹರಿಕೃಷ್ಣ ಸಂಗೀತದ ಹಾಡುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಕೇಳಿದವರಿಗೆ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಆಗಲೇ ಕಿಕ್ಕೇರಿಸಿದೆ. 

ಯೋಗರಾಜ್ ಭಟ್ಟರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರೆ, ಅಲ್ಲೊಂದಿಷ್ಟು ಪೋಲಿತನ, ತುಂಟತನ, ಫಿಲಾಸಫಿಗಳ ಜೊತೆ ತಲೆಗೆ ಸಣ್ಣದಾಗೊಂದು ಹುಳ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿರ್ತಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಅವರು ಸ್ಪೆಷಲ್ಲಾಗಿ ಟೀಸರ್ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದು ಪಂಚತಂತ್ರದ ಟೀಸರ್.

ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗ್ಯಾಪ್‍ನ ನಂತರ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಹೊಸಬರ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಕೈ ಹಾಕಿರೋ ಭಟ್ಟರು, ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಕಾರ್ ರೇಸ್ ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಟೀಸರ್‍ನಲ್ಲೆ ಮೈನವಿರೇಳಿಸುವ ದೃಶ್ಯ ತೋರಿಸಿರೋ ಭಟ್ಟರು, ಅದರ ನಡುವೆ ಒಂದು ನವಿರು ಪ್ರೇಮಕಥೆಯನ್ನೂ ಇಟ್ಟಿರೋದು ಂಚತಂತ್ರದ ಟೀಸರ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ಎದ್ದು ಕಾಣುತ್ತೆ.

ಹರಿಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ಜಯಣ್ಣ ಹಾಗೂ ಹೇಮಂತ್ ಪರಾಡ್ಕರ್ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದ ಚಿತ್ರ, ನವೆಂಬರ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ತೆರೆಗೆ ಬರುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಇದೆ. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ನವೆಂಬರ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳ ಕ್ಯೂ ಇದೆ. ಇವುಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಭಟ್ಟರ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಕೂಡಾ ಬಂದ್ರೆ, ನವೆಂಬರ್ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳ ತಿಂಗಳಾಗಲಿದೆ.

ಯೋಗರಾಜ್ ಭಟ್ಟರ ಪಂಚತಂತ್ರ ಚಿತ್ರ ಕಥೆ, ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ರೇಸ್‍ನಿಂದ ಮೋಡಿಯನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಯುವ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ಸೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪಂಚತಂತ್ರ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಓಪನಿಂಗೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದೆ. ಪಂಚತಂತ್ರದ ಆಮೆ, ಮೊಲ ರೇಸ್ ಕಥೆಯನ್ನು ಇಷ್ಟು ಚೆಂದವಾಗಿ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಮಾಡಬಹುದಾ ಎಂದು ಅಚ್ಚರಿ ಪಟ್ಟಿರುವುದು ಕನ್ನಡ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲ, ತೆಲುಗು ಹಾಗೂ ಹಿಂದಿ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದವರೂ ಕೂಡಾ ಬೆರಗಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಹೀಗಾಗಿಯೇ ಪಂಚತಂತ್ರ ಚಿತ್ರದ ರೀಮೇಕ್‍ಗೆ ಡಿಮ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಬರೋಕೆ ಶುರುವಾಗಿದೆ. ಭಟ್ಟರ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳು ಬೇರೆ ಭಾಷೆಗೆ ರೀಮೇಕ್ ಆಗುವುದು ಹೊಸದೇನಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಬಾರಿಯೂ ಅಷ್ಟೆ, ತೆಲುಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗಲೇ ಆಂಧ್ರ ವರ್ಸಸ್ ತೆಲಂಗಾಣ ಅನ್ನೋ ಹೆಸರಲ್ಲಿ ಪಂಚತಂತ್ರ ರೀಮೇಕ್ ಆಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಸುದ್ದಿಯಿದೆ.

ಒಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸಬರನ್ನೇ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಯೋಗರಾಜ್ ಭಟ್ಟರು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಗೆದ್ದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಶೃಂಗಾರದ ಹೊಂಗೇ ಮರ ಹೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಅರಳಿದೆ.

ಸ್ನೇಹ, ಸಂಬಂಧ, ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ, ಸಂಗೀತ ಮತ್ತು ಮನರಂಜನೆಯೇ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಜೀವಾಳ ಎಂದಿರುವ ಭಟ್ಟರು, ಈ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಹಾನ್, ಸೋನಲ್, ಅಕ್ಷರಾ ಗೌಡರನ್ನು ಶೃಂಗಾರದ ಹೊಂಗೆ ಮರಕ್ಕೆ ನೇತು ಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 29ನೇ ತಾರೀಕು ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರ ಮುಂದಿಡಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
