The shooting for Nikhil Kumar's 'Seetharama Kalyana' is in progress and the first teaser of the film will be released tonight at Public Grounds in Ramanagar. The film's team has organised a big function at Ramanagar and the teaser is all set to be released amidst thousands of people.

The first teaser of Nikhil Kumar's 'Seetharama Kalyana' was released on Tuesday night amidst much fanfare and the teaser has become a huge hit with many views in media.

The teaser of the film was released at Public Grounds in Ramanagar on Tuesday night by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and Anitha Kumaraswamy. This is the first time, that a teaser was released in 4K resolution.

With just two days for the most anticipated movie, Seetharama Kalyana starring Nikhil Kumar in the lead, to hit the screens worldwide, the making video of it on the facebook page of Chitraloka, a leading web portal for Kannada movies since 2000 along with multiple Limca Book of Records, has witnessed more than two million hits.

The making video of Seetharama Kalyana which has crossed 2.2 M views along with couple of thousands being shared by the netizens within a week after it was been uploaded on our official facebook page.

Recently, the trailer of the movie was released at a grand event organised at the torchlight parade grounds at Bannimantapa grounds in Mysuru. Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy along with his mother Channamma, his better half and the producer of the movie Smt. Anita Kumaraswamy and scores or politicians from the JD(S) party were present on the occasion.

During the trailer release, Mr. Kumaraswamy praised the work of the film team and shared that the movie also focuses on the agrarian community, which is his area of prime focus as a representative of the people. He also requested the movie lovers to encourage Kannada movies.

Produced under Channambika Films, Smt. Anita Kumaraswamy hoped that the people will bless Nikhil’s second movie as well.

Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has released the first lyrical video song of 'Seetharama Kalyana’ which stars his son Nikhil Kumar in the lead.

Produced under the Channambika Films banner, Mr Kumaraswamy along with his wife Mrs. Anitha Kumaraswamy, Ramanagara MLA are presenting their son's second venture directed by choreographer turned director A Harsha.

The chief minister who has released the lyrical video song ‘Ninna Raja Naanu, Ninna Rani Naanu,’ a romantic number from the movie which features Nikhil Kumar along with the beautiful Rachitha Ram. The song composed by Anup Rubens has been performed by singing sensation Armaan Malik to the lyrics penned by V Sai Sukunya.

Further, Mr Kumaraswamy has thanked the Kannada movie lovers and seeks for their continuous support and love as the most anticipated movie is inching towards release in the coming days.

South India's well known fight masters Ram-Lakshman have composed a costly fight for Nikhil's third film 'Seetharama Kalyana'.

The fight has been shot in a specially erected set at the Minerva Mills in Bangalore for the last 10 days. Special cameras has been brought from Mumbai to shoot the fight sequences. Nikhil along with 80 stuntmen participated in the shooting of the film.

The dimple queen of sandalwood, Rachita Ram who stars opposite Nikhil Kumar in Seetharama Kalyana has come out strongly defending her bold role in 'I Love You’. 

Following the trailer of the movie in which Rachita Ram is seen in a different role as compared to her previous ones, the actress has said that various kinds of characters inspire an artist and there is nothing wrong in attempting such challenging roles.

In Seetharama Kalyana, she will be seen as a girl from a traditional background and hence the langa-davani attire. About criticism over her choice of role in I Love You, the actress has reacted sharply saying that some of her fans had expressed displeasure against her for doing same kind of roles and when she takes up bold roles, she still faces such criticisms.

“I haven't done anything wrong. Just because the trailer is bold, it doesn't mean that my entire role in the movie will be of same as in the trailer. The purpose of the trailer is to draw attention of the audience. I know my limits as an actress,” she says.

About her co-star Nikhil Kumar in Seetharama Kalyana, the actress says that he is very committed and he has tremendously grown as an actor.

With just two films old, Nikhil Kumar, son of Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, has earned a lot of accolades for his performance especially for his role in his latest release - Seetharama Kalyana, made under Channambika Films.

The biggest compliment of all was when Kichcha Sudeepa himself praised his acting skills after watching the movie. He went onto praise Nikhil saying that he certainly looks like a promising actor.

“Nikhil surely looks a promising actor. Loved his subtlety in performance and has delivered what’s expected out of him towards the scene written. Would love to see him in a script and a character much simpler to take him close to people's hearts,” Kichcha says, while wishing him the best for his future endeavours.

Recently even the actor's grandfather and former prime minister, H D Deve Gowda who along with his entire family watched Seetharama Kalyana. Even a special screening of the movie was arranged for the who's who of politicians in the state.

Nikhil's third film after 'Jaguar' and 'Kurukshetra' has been titled as 'Seetharama Kalyana' and is all set to be launched on 29th December in Bangalore.

Long before he attained his stardom as an actor and then a politician, it all started as a ‘newspaper boy’ for Sarat Kumar while working in namma Bengaluru.

Recollecting his days as newspaper boy, Sarat Kumar who returns to play a special support role in Nikhil Kumar and Rachitha Ram starrer 'Seetharama Kalayana’, says that he knows Bengaluru very well and especially around Jayanagar area.

“Back then, I would get up at 5 am in the morning. It used to be colder than it is now. On my bicycle, I would fetch fetch newspapers, sort it out and then deliver it to the readers. This is how I started my journey from Bengaluru before getting into films and then as a politician,” Sarat says.

The actor who was speaking at the film's event marking the completion of 100 days of shoot, also thanked Challenging Star Darshan, and his brother for making him part of Sarathi, and then his association with 'Raajakumara’.

As he signs off, he also shared that he rarely does a character role unless it really requires him to do. 

Seetharama Kalyana is a majestically mounted film that scores good ranking in all categories. The story, acting, music, sentiments, fights, romance, drama, twists and comedy, the most important things in a commercial film are all perfectly placed in the film. Director Harsha has managed to give us an almost perfect commercial entertainer. There are very few scenes in the film where you feel something extra was needed. Otherwise there is no dull moment. There are so many top actors in the film that it is surprising how such a complicated story line has been turned into a simple narrative. 

The film starts with a wedding. Chikkanna is getting married but the hero and heroine are supposed to meet here for the first time. The entire wedding episode is managed on a huge scale and it is a feast for the eyes. The narrative then shifts to Bengaluru where again some magnificent sets are created for the story. From scene to scene, the impression on the two lead actors grows. Both of them have give a stellar performance. For Nikhil it is one of the best growths. In just two films, he manages to perform like an experienced veteran. 

The story takes many twists and turns. What starts as a love story turns into a family drama and a father-son sentiment story. All of it is beautifully woven into a simple yet enriching narrative. Songs appear at appropriate intervals and are melodious. The film has an overdose of action. It was necessary to showcase the fights of Nikhil. If they had been reduced the film may have got a U certificate instead of U/A certificate. But that is not a problem as the fights are superbly choreographed and are very entertaining. 

The music, editing, choreography and cinematography are perfectly tuned to the story narrative. Since there are rich sets and locales the cinematography strives to capture them in minute detail. The editing is fast and sometimes should have shown the sets for longer. The music is apt. Apart from entertainment the film also carries good message about the requirements of farmers and how it can be solved. Even in the film's story there is an answer to the problems of farmers. 

The actors have performed well. Ravi Shankar, Madhoo, Chikkanna and others steal the show with their perfect timing. There is a separate comedy track involving Chikkanna that is the icing on the cake of this entertaining fare. Seetharama Kalyana is one good film for the entire family. Don't miss it.
