Prema Baraha, the film directed by Arjun Sarja that is releasing this week is set to create a unique record of sorts. Four top stars will be seen in a single frame in a song in the film. There have been several songs where other stars have made a special guest appearance.

There have also been songs in which several stars make a special appearance but in different parts of the song. In the song for Prema Baraha apart from Arjun Sarja, his two nephews Chiranjeevi Sarja and Dhruva Sarja will be seen. But the biggest scoop is the appearance of Darshan in the same frame. This will be one of the most eagerly awaited shots in Kannada films so far.

The reaction of the fans witnessing four stars in the same frame can only be imagined. It is just a wait of two more days.

After the humongous success of Kurukshetra, Challenging Star Darshan is all set to return with his next biggie - Odeya made under the popular banner, Sandesh Nagaraj productions. The teaser of the film directed by M D Sridhar, will be out on November 1 on the occasion of Kannada Rajyotsava.

According to the filmmakers, the film which has completed the shooting is gearing up for release in December.

Odeya music is composed by Arjun Janya, and the songs for it are penned by Jayanth Kaikini, Dr V Nagendra Prasad, Kaviraj and Bahaddur Chetan Kumar. This time, Challenging Star is paired opposite yet another debutant - Raghavi Thimmayya, who plays the heroine while Yashas Surya, Pankaj, Niranjan, Samarth and others will be seen in the support roles.

The shooting for Darshan's Kurukshetra is going on at  a very brisk pace in Hyderabad's Ramoji Studio. Sources say that the speed of shooting has surprised everyone. Some top actors from across India are participating in the shooting.

Apart from Darshan playing the role of Duryodhana there are other actors including Ambareesh, Arjun Sarja, Sonu Sood and others who are in Hyderabad shooting for the 50th film of Darshan which is being made on a very big scale.

But what are the actors doing when there is no shooting. Some of the Kannada actors like Chetan and Yashas are giving a glimpse into it. Most of the actors are spending most of their spare time in the gym! The film gets together some of the fittest actors who can stand up to anyone when it comes to having a fit and trim body.

So no wonder that many of them are found in the gym rather than in any recreation area after shooting hours. 

Actor 'Challenging Star' Darshan has clarified that music composer Harikrishna who is a regular is in his camp is not out of the camp and is still composing songs for the film. Earlier, there were rumours that V Harikrishna has fallen out of Darshan's camp in the recent times and will not be composing songs for his future films. To add more spice to that Darshan starrer 'Jaggu Dada' which is all set to be launched on his birthday (February 16) has another music director composing two songs along with V Harikrishna. So, there were rumours that Harikrishna has fallen out from Darshan's camp.

But Darshan has rubbished away such rumours saying that though 'Jaggu Dada' has Harikrishna composing music along with Paresh, Harikrishna is still a very good friend and indeed is one of the member of the camp. Even director Raghavendra Hegde said that Paresh is his long time friend and he has given a chance to compose music for the sake of friendship and nothing else. 

It was being said earlier that actor Darshan will be going to the Chennammanakere Achchukattu police station because his wife Vijayalakshmi had asked the police to warn him against bad conduct. Now there are rumours that Darshan has gone to meet actor Ambareesh turned politician Mysore.

On Wednesday night Vijayalakshmi had filed a petition to the police asking to warn Darshan against bad conduct. Darshan had gone to Vijayalakshmi's apartment in Hoskerehalli in Bangalore on Wednesday evening, but Vijayalakshmi was not at her residence. Darshan who was desperate used foul language against his wife. After coming back the security complained Vijayalakshmi about Darshan's behaviour and Vijayalakshmi along with the security guard filed a petition to the police to warn Darshan against bad conduct. 

This is not the first time that a rift between Darshan and his wife is arising. Earlier, in 2011, Darshan was sent to judicial custody for assaulting his wife.

Challenging Star Darshan has arrived in Mandya to lend support to the farmers who are protesting against letting Kaveri water to Tamil Nadu.

Darshan said that water is being given for growing crops in TN while there is no water for drinking in Karnataka. He said that justice has been very wrong for Karnataka this time. The people of Karnataka are very open hearted. With this we have dragged a stone on our own heads, he said. Darshan said he was not just an actor from Bengaluru but also a farmer. I have eaten the salt of Mandya and I have to repay it, he said.

He said Mandya is his home and he does not need any security to visit it. Kaveri is our mother and we cannot tolerate injustice to it, he said.

Darshan's wife Vijayalakshmi has said that she doesn't want to comment anything about the alleged divorce issue with Darshan, From last three months back, there was rumours that Darshan has sought divorce from his wife and the couple are living separately.

Though Vijalakshmi accepts that she is living separately from her husband to create a clean environment to her son, she strictly doesn't want to talking anything about the divorce. She doesn't even react whether the news was true or false.

Rebel star Ambareesh's son Abhisek, who made his debut in Amar wants to play the role of a villain to Challenging Star Darshan in a movie. The junior rebel star expressed his desire to play the villain's role to Darshan during the 100 days celebrations of Muniratna Kurukshetra.

During the event held in Bengaluru, Abhisek intervened sharing that he wants to play villain to Darshan in his movie. "After my father, it is Darshan who scolds me a lot and guides me with words of wisdom. In fact my father would often say that I listen to Darshan. This is why I want to experience the same on the screen as a villain where Darshan does something similar," Abhisek said.

Further, the budding star also expressed his desire to act in the movie produced by Muniratna since both his parents have acted in the movies produced under his home banner. Listening to the request, producer Muniratna guaranteed that both his wishes will be fulfilled within a year.

Popular dancer Ishita has joined the team of Chakravarthy. She will be seen in an item song in the film. Shooting for this song started at the Premiere Studio in Mysuru and will go on for the next few days.

An elaborate set has been erected for the song at the studio. Much of the talkie portion for the film has been completed for the film directed by Chintan. Chintan shot to fame as the co-writer of Sarathi. This is his first film as director in which he has made Dinakar Toogudeepa to act as well.

Challenging Star Darshan's next - Odeya made under the banner of Sandesh Productions and directed by M D Sridhar is all set for a grand release on December 12. Initially titled as Wodeyar, it was eventually changed to Odeya. It marks the debut of another actress, Sanah Thimmaiah.

The film team which recently wrapped up the shoot in Switzerland has Krishna Kumar as it cinematographer, with the background score by V Harikrishna, and music by Arjun Janya.

Darshan's Odeya has raised a lot of expectations as the fans are hoping for another blockbuster with Christmas and New Year celebrations around the corner. 

Darshan starrer 'Robert' is all set to release on the 11th of March on the occasion of Mahashivaratri. Darshan himself confirmed the release date during a Facebook Live with his fans.

'Robert' was completed last year itself but the lockdown postponed the release which was scheduled in April. After the lockdown was revoked, it was said that the film will release for Christmas or New Year. However, producer Umapathy Srinivas Gowda and director Tharun Sudhir announced that the film will only be released after the Government permits 100 percent occupancy in theaters.

Though the Government has not announced 100 percent occupancy in theaters, there is still two months left for release and the announcement is likely to come in the next month. So, on a safer note the release date of the film has been announced on March 11th. The film will be released three weeks ahead of 'Yuvaratna' which is scheduled on April 01st.

'Robert' stars Darshan,  Asha Bhatt, Vinod Prabhakar and others in prominent roles. Arjun Janya has composed the music for the film.

Following the Corona virus outbreak, the film team of Roberrt which had initially planned for the shoot of a song in Spain, had finally decided to wrap up in the largest salt desert in the World - Rann of Kutch in Gujarat. The romantic number composed by magical composer Arjun Janya was shot in the desert featuring Darshan and Asha Bhat.

Model turned actress Asha Bhat is thrilled to make her debut alongside Darshan, and is hoping to live up to the expectations of her film team and especially the Kannada audience. Directed by Tharun Kishore Sudhir, the film is produced by Umapathy Srinivas Gowda under Umapathy Films.

The big tussle between Jaggesh and Darshan has finally come to an end with Darshan apologising for his fans behavior and Jaggesh thanking Darshan for ending the controversy.

Darshan fans were upset with Jaggesh's telephonic conversation wherein the senior actor had talked ill about Darshan. The actor's fans recently barged into the shooting of 'Thotapuri' and confronted Jaggesh regarding the issue. Jaggesh was very much upset about the whole episode.

Finally on Wednesday, Darshan in a TV interview said that was not aware of the issue and has apologized Jaggesh for his fans behavior. Darshan has said that if he had known about the issue, then he would have definitely stopped his fans from barging into the sets.

P N Satya and M G Ramamurthy who were the director and producer of Darshan's first film as a hero, 'Majestic' released the audio of his forthcoming film 'Jaggu Dada' on in Bangalore.

The audio release of the film was well attended event with lots of celebrities and well wishers of Darshan attending it. Well known producer S AGovindaraj, Tara, Aditya, Deepika Kamaiah, singer Hemanth Kumar and others were present at the occasion. Four well picturised songs of the will were also screened during this event.

V Harikrishna has composed the music for the film, while the audio of the film has been acquired by the D Beats.

Actor Darshan has said that his latest film Jaggu Dada which is all set to release on Friday is an easy going film with lots of entertainment ingredients. Darshan was talking during the press conference of the film in Mysore.

'Usually people say that my films are heavy with lot of action, shots, build-ups and dialogues. But this film is completely different. There are only four action sequences and songs in the film. This is a complete family entertainer and everybody can enjoy the film' said Darshan.

Darshan also said that the trend of 100 days over. 'Earlier, a film was considered to be a hit depending on how  many days it completes. But now the trend has changed. Earlier, the films used to be released in a limited number of theaters. But now films are being released in 200 plus theaters. So, it is being considered that the film is successful, even it runs for a week' said Darshan.

Darshan's JagguDada has taken the box office by storm. It has collected Rs 7 crore in just two days on Friday and Saturday. The film has released in a record nearly 400 screens across India. It is a record for any Kannada movie. The collections have also matched this record. Sunday's collection figures are not yet out.

Darshan's new film Jaggu Dada which is releasing tomorrow is set to make an all-time record for Kannada films. The film is set to release in over 380 theatres including in around 300 in Karnataka itself.  This will be the biggest release for any Kannada film ever.

The number of screens in Karnataka itself is set to cross 300 as new theatres are being added even a day before release. Jaggu Dada will also have the biggest simultaneous release outside Karnataka.

Advance bookings for the film in multiplexes and single screens have already started. Most theatres have added an early morning show at either 6am or 7am.

History has been created in the State, with a first ever independent candidate winning Lok Sabha election. Mrs. Sumalatha Ambareesh, who fought a alone battle against the entire ruling coalition government, has recorded an emphatic victory with a margin of more than 50 thousand.

While the entire self-respecting (swabhimani) voters of Mandya Lok Sabha constituency and several organisations backed Sumalatha Ambareesh, it was the 'jodettu', a term coined by Chief Minister Kumaraswamy, referring to Challenging Star Darshan and Rocking Star Yash, who relentlessly campaigned for their mother, have been the biggest force behind the record victory.

The Kannada film industry on Sunday stopped all the activities and supported the permanent water supply to Kolar district. On Sunday, many of the artistes and technicians assembled near the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce and went to Kolar and held a rally to support the permanent water supply to Kolar district.
