Shylaja Nag, producer of Yajamana says the news about actor Darshan assaulting a junior artiste Shivu is fake. The story started doing the rounds a few hours ago and it is alleged that Darshan assaulted Shivu during the shooting of the film.

There are reports that Shivu was filing a complaint with the police regarding it. However Shylaja Nag, the producer of the film has stated that there was no such incident during the shooting of the film. She was present at the shooting and there was no such incident. There were 200-300 junior actors and it is not known who this Shivu was. According to reports the shooting was being done indoors and a person named Shivu started recording the shooting in his mobile phone.

He was stopped from doing it. According to reports Shivu was only trying to take a selfie. But what actually happened is disputed. Shylaja Nag said that it is her who is the victim here because if someone is trying to do piracy of her film she is the sufferer.

More than 500 actors, technicians, dancers and others are taking part in a song shooting for the film on the outskirts of the city.

'Challenging Star' Darshan on Saturday celebrated his 42nd birthday in a simple manner amidst fans, friends and family.

Darshan had announced that he will not be celebrating his birthday this year and has requested his fans to spend the money on charity instead of cakes, garlands and gifts. Likewise, the fans of the actor gave the proceeds to the Siddaganga Mutt of Tumkur.

Like every year, Darshan met his fans who had come to wish him from all over the state. Darshan had organised food for the fans who came all over to meet him.

Darshan is celebrating his birthday today. But the fans of the actor thronged his residence from yesterday night itself and wished the star a happy and prosperous birthday. Darshan came from his residence and met his fans and celebrated his birthday with them.

The fans had brought huge cakes, garlands and gifts for their favorite actor and the birthday celebrations will continue till tomorrow.

Darshan has clarified on his Facebook and Twitter accounts that he is not ready to attend any reality shows. But if one of the two conditions is met, he may consider it. This comes on the speculation and requests from fans for him to be guest on TV shows. In a statement that makes no bones about why he does not even want to promote his films on reality shows, Darshan makes things clear.

Darshan has delivered a shocking news online a few minutes ago. He has said that he and Sudeep are no longer friends. He has asked for speculations on the issue to end once and for all. For the last couple of years there were rumours after the two actors were not seen together. Darshan had also stopped following Sudeep on Twitter.

Darshan had also kept away from Celebrity Cricket League which is captained by Sudeep. The rumours had not been confronted by either actors till now. Darshan's tweet now confirms that all was not well between the two.

If everything had gone right, then the official trailer of Darshan starrer 'Tarak' directed by 'Milana' Prakash was supposed to release on Thursday evening. However, the trailer didn't release due to various reasons and the fans of Darshan is very much upset with Lahari Audio for not releasing the trailer as promised. The disappointed fans association and fans of Darshan were seen trolling regarding this.

'Tarak' is being produced by Dushyanth who earlier produced 'Monalisa', 'Sri' and 'Milana'. Shruthi Hariharan and Sanvi Srivatsav will be playing the female leads opposite Darshan. Devaraj, Sadhu Kokila and others play prominent roles in the film.

A V Krishnakumar is the cinematographer, while Arjun Janya is the music composer of this film.

Challenging Star Darshan has a unique tradition which he follows on every new year day. He has not given it a break since the days of Majestic, his first film as hero. The tradition is to work the full day on January 1.

Also, Mr. Ramamurthy's friend Manjunatha presented a silver chain weighing 5 kilograms to the actor on the occasion.

Reacting to rumors about his indifference with challenging star Darshan, Nikhil Kumaraswamy, son of former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy has said that there is no truth to it.

The actor turned politician who plays the mythological role of Abhimanyu in Munirathna Kurukshetra, shared that he may not be in contact with Darshan but he is certainly not his enemy.

He was recently seen dubbing his voice for the film directed by Naganna. On delaying his dubbing, the actor clarified saying that it was due to relentless election campaigning and then the political responsibilities which kept him occupied.

Challenging Star Darshan who was shooting in Sweden, has just landed in Bengaluru. He is rushing to Kanteerava Stadium where the mortal remains of his appaji, as Darshan fondly refers to rebel star Ambareesh will be brought back from Mandya.

Darshan had flown to Sweden to shoot for the film ‘Yejamana’ along with actress Rashmika Mandanna and the entire film and the producers of the film Shylaja Nag and B Suresha.

Soon after learning the sad demise of Ambareesh, Darshan cut short his stay in Sweden, and somehow managed to find the immediate next flight to Bengaluru after a bit of struggle.

The mortal remains of Ambareesh will be flown back to HAL airport from Mandya by around 11 am, and will be taken to Kanteerava Stadium from where the final profession of Ambareesh to Kanteerava Studio will begin. Darshan is soon expected to reach Kanteerava stadium from where he is expected accompany the procession to the studio.

Darshan has lent his support to the Dr Vishnuvardhan National Festival taking place in New Delhi. In a series of tweets he has said that he is also a fan of Vishnuvardhan and everyone knows how much Vishnuvardhan loved his fans. Darshan praised the efforts of all the fans who were organising the festival on such a huge scale. 

Darshan said that though Vishnuvardhan was not physically present now the love of his fans has not diminished one bit in all these years. He has said that Vishnuvardhan is one and only Lion of the industry and signed off wishing the fans again. The national festival for Vishnuvardhan is the first of its kind for any actor and taking place in the Delhi Kannadiga auditorium in Delhi organised by Vishnu Sena Samathi (VSS). It is being attended by over 500 Vishnuvardhan fans from Karnataka and a large number of dignitaries from the fields of films and arts.

Darshan has made it clear that he is not happy with his movie Viraat releasing on January 22 because this sudden release will affect other Kannada films. Darshan has pointed to producer Kalyan for creating this problem.

Darshan says it is better to release the film on or after Jan 29. By bringing up the release of Viraat, schedules of other Kannada films have been affected. When the film has been delayed for two years, waiting one more week is not a problem, the actor has said. Three days of shooting for a song is also pending for the film.

Darshan who came back from Malaysia last week after shooting for 'Tarak', has traveled to Switzerland on Tuesday morning. Darshan has travelled to Switzerland for the shooting of songs for 'Tarak'.

The team of 'Tarak' has completed the talkie as well as action portions of the film and is all set to shoot songs in Switzerland, Italy and other places. The team will be shooting for songs in those places in the next few days and Darshan will be back by first week of July.

Actor Darshan who has currently finished the talkie portions of 'Yajamana' has completed his portions for Prajwal's 'Inspector Vikram'.

Darshan plays a guest role in 'Inspector Vikram' and is seen as Bhagath Singh in the film. The film is not a biopic nor the film is connected to pre-independence era. The film is a commercial entertainer and what is the relation between a freedom fighter and a police inspector is yet to be seen in the film.

'Inspector Vikram' stars Prajwal Devaraja, Bhavana Menon and others in prominent roles. Ramesh Aravind is playing a negative character in the film. Debutante Narasimha is the director, While Vikyath who co-produced 'Pushpaka Vimana' is the producer.

'Takkar' is written and directed by Raghu Shastri who earlier directed Vinay Rajakumar's 'Run Antony'. The film is being produced by Nagesh Kogilu, who earlier produced 'Huliraya'. 'Takkar' stars Manoj along with Ranjini Raghavan and others. Kiran Hampapura is the cameraman, while Manikanth Kadri is the music director.

Actor Darshan on Saturday released a song from Chiranjeevi Sarja starrer 'Singha'. Earlier, a song called 'Shaane Top Aagavle' was released and now another song called 'What a Beautiful Lady' was released by Darshan.

Producer Uday Mehta has organised a success meet for songs and Darshan had come as a chief Guest. Chiranjeevi Sarja, Aditi Prabhudeva, Tara and others were present at the occasion.

'Singha' is scheduled to release on the 19th of July across Karnataka. The film is  produced by Uday Mehta under Vasavi Productions and Vijay Kiran is the director. The film stars Chiranjeevi Sarja, Aditi Prabhudeva, Ravishankar and others in prominent roles.
