The shooting for  Shivarajakumar-Sudeep starrer 'The Villain'  was completed recently. The stage for the audio release of the film is set and the songs of the film will be released in Dubai on the 17th of August. The cast and crew of the film will be attending the audio release in Dubai on 17th August.

If everything had gone right, then 'The Villain' was supposed to release on the auspicious day of Varahamahalakshmi festival. Now the release is doubtful and the film is likely to be postponed for September.

The film is being produced by C R Manohar and Arjun Janya is the music composer. 'The Villain' is being directed by Prem and the film stars Shivarajakumar, Sudeep, Amy Jackson, Srikanth, Mithun Chakraborty and others. 

The shooting for Shivarajakumar-Sudeep starrer 'The Villain' has almost completed except for four songs. Meanwhile, the audio rights of the film has been sold for a whopping 1.08 crores.

Anand Audio has bagged the audio rights of the film and has paid 1.08 crores for the audio rights, which is said to be the highest in Kannada film industry.

The songs of 'The Villain' is composed by Arjun Janya and the first song of the film will be released on the 14th of July at 10 AM. Prem has also decided to release the second song soon and the second song will be released on the 21st of July at 10 AM.

Director Prem has censored his latest film 'The Villain' and has got 'U/A/ certificate. The film is 2 hours 55 minutes in duration and is one of the lengthiest film in the recent times.

The lengthiest film in the recent times was Darshan starrer 'Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna' and most of the films were less than two and a half hours. Now Prem has taken a huge bet by making a 2.55 hrs film.

ದಿ ವಿಲನ್ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಬಾಕ್ಸಾಫೀಸ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಂದಿ ಚಿಂದಿ ಉಡಾಯಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ.ಎರಡನೇ ವಾರ ಮುಗಿಯುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ದಿ ವಿಲನ್ 50 ಕೋಟಿ ದಾಟಿ ಮುನ್ನುಗ್ಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಸಿನಿಮಾ ರಿಲೀಸ್ ಆದ ಮೂರನೇ ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿನಿಮಾ 30 ಕೋಟಿ ಕಲೆಕ್ಷನ್ ಎಂದು ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಸಿ.ಆರ್.ಮನೋಹರ್ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಈಗ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಕಲೆಕ್ಷನ್ 50 ಕೋಟಿ ದಾಟಿದೆ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಿವೆ ಮೂಲಗಳು.

ಮೊದಲನೇ ವಾರಕ್ಕೆ 50 ಕೋಟಿ ದಾಟಿರುವ ಸಿನಿಮಾ, 2ನೇ ವಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ 20 ಕೋಟಿಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಲೆಕ್ಷನ್ ಮಾಡಿದೆಯಂತೆ. ವಾರ ಮುಗಿಯುವುದರೊಳಗೆ ಕಲೆಕ್ಷನ್ ಇನ್ನೂ ದಾಟಬಹುದು ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಿವೆ ಬಾಕ್ಸಾಫೀಸ್ ಮೂಲಗಳು. 

ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಮೂಲದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಚಿತ್ರದ ಕಲೆಕ್ಷನ್ 90 ಕೋಟಿ ದಾಟಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಇದು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಉತ್ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷೆಯ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಎನ್ನಬಹುದೇನೋ. ಆದರೆ, ಚಿತ್ರದ ಕ್ರೇಝ್ ಹಿಗೇ ಮುಂದುವರಿದರೆ ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ದಿ ವಿಲನ್ ಮೊದಲ 100 ಕೋಟಿ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಆಗೋದ್ರಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಮಾನವಿಲ್ಲ.

The Villain, the most expected movie of the year in Kannada is releasing in a record number of theaters across Karnataka and Bengaluru. The film is breaking all records before release. It has had the highest positive votes before release with over 53,000 people saying they are interested in the film on online booking sites. This is the first Kannada film with over 50,000 votes before release.

The film is also creating before-release records in Benaluru. The bookings for the film opened one week in advance in single screen theatres and it is now open in all multiplexes today. The film is releasing tomorrow in 93 single screen theatres and 32 multiplexes in Bengaluru including the entire district.

The Bengaluru distribution region includes Kolar and Tumakuru. Earlier it was expected that the BKT (Bengaluru Kolar Tumakuru) region will have 150 screens for The Villain. A day before the release of the film, the number of screens in BKT has already crossed 150.

In Bengaluru the number of shows on the first day is more than 500. With more shows being added, the number of first day shows may cross 600 in the city.

Well known Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi has sung a song for Shivarajakumar and Sudeep starrer 'The Villain'. Arjun Janya has composed the songs for the film.

This is not the first time that Daler Mehndi is singing a Kannada song. Earlier, the well known singer had sung for Komal starrer 'Namo Bhootatma' which was directed by choreographer turned director. The song which starts as 'Paisa duddu money money' was written by Hridayashiva, while music director Emil had composed music for the film.

'The Villain' is being written and directed by Prem, while C R Manohar is the producer. The film stars Shivarajakumar, Sudeep, Amy Jackson, Mithun Chakraborty and others in prominent roles.

The songs of Shivarajakumar-Sudeep starrer 'The Villain' was released amidst much fanfare by actor-politician Ambarish on Sunday night.

The audio release of 'The Villain' was held at White Orchid near Manyata Tech Park in Bangalore. The event was held with association with Zee TV. Shivarajakumar, Sudeep, Srikanth, Rakshitha, Prem and others were present at the occasion.

The first look of Shivarajakumar-Sudeep starrer 'The Villain' will be released on the 1st of April. Prem has announced that the first look will be released on that day, but has not revealed about how and where the first look will be released.

Recently the teaser shooting for 'The Villain' was held separately. In the first session only Shivarajakumar participated in the teaser shoot and in the second session Sudeep participated. Prem did not reveal the looks of both the stars and intended to release the first look of the stars only after the shoot of both.

Four teasers of The Villain will be released on Monday. These are theatrical teasers and will have glimpses from the film. Till now only photo stills and a few shooting visuals have been released in public domain.

The two teasers introducing the characters of Shivarajkumar and Sudeep were also released but these were special purpose. Fans had expected a full length teaser with visuals from the actual film to be released before the film's upcoming release for the Dasara festival.

Prem has however revealed that there will be only 10-second teasers and not a full length teaser on October 1. So the wait continues for fans.

The motion poster of Prem's new film 'The Villain' was released on September 02nd midnight on the occasion of Sudeep's birthday.

The British model turned actress, Amy Jackson who rose to fame with Indian films especially after bagging star studded projects like Shankar's ‘2.0’ starring alongside Super Star Rajinikanth and Prem's 'The Villain’ which marks Century Star Dr. Shivarajkumar and Kiccha Sudeep coming together for the first time, has been missing from the promotional activities of her debut Kannada movie. 

The mega budget star studded movie produced by Dr C R Manohar, is just ten days away before it hits the screens worldwide on October 18. While the entire team is busy promoting the movie, the director Prem has expressed his displeasure against the heroine of his movie Amy Jackson.

“The actress has done complete justice to her character in The Villain, which is commendable. However, Amy Jackson seems to be disinterested with the promotion of the movie. Despite requesting her to be part of the promotion, she has been missing from such activities,” says Prem.

She was last seen in Dubai for the audio release function, and since then she has been missing in action. The director who was confident that Amy would make it to the recent teaser launch event in Bengaluru was left disappointed when Amy despite assuring her presence remained absent.
