Satish Neenasam's new film 'Chambal' which was released recently, was not a big hit at the box-office. But the film managed to garner good opinion from the audience. Now the film is all set to release in America from March 08th on wards.

After Prithvi, Jacob Varghese comes up with another realistic tale which revolves around an IAS officer. The movie has been in focus for its alleged connection with that of the life of IAS officer D K Ravi, who died in 2015 under mysterious circumstances. However, Chambal gives an entirely different narrative on what led to the 'killing’ of an upright officer in the movie and hence despite similarities, it brilliantly stays away from any direct links to the controversial death.

Right from the beginning, this one moves swiftly before it concludes in less than two hours. In between there are a couple of songs with montages to keep the story moving on a brisk pace. 

The story is based on the escapades of an upright IAS officer, and what led to his end. However, it may look similar to the life of D K Ravi, as an officer but it is carefully made it into a thriller rather than a biopic or a documentary.

It certainly marks as the first sensible realistic movie of the year so far which does not come with the usual heroism and all that thundering and blistering dialogues. It is a movie close to reality but yet not the complete reality. A brilliantly made venture, all the characters right from Sathish Ninasam who plays the IAS officer, and thereafter a series of supportive ones from Sonu Gowda, Roger Narayan, Pawan Kumar and Kishan gel with the storyline. They look real with no melodrama attached to their performances.

For those who assume that white collar jobs in government services especially those placed in higher positions, are a pure luxury, should definitely not miss Chambal.

One of the leading film distributors in the state - Gokul Films, which has distributed several big banner and big star movies including non-Kannada movies of that of Super Star Rajinikanth and many others, has secured the distribution rights of Jacob Varghese's directorial ‘ Chambal’.

According to the makers, Gokul Films has offered a good price for the distribution of the movie in the state. Earlier, the movie starring Sathish Ninasam and Sonu Gowda, was in news for Rs 10 crore offer by Netflix, which the team rejected it while opting for a theatrical release.

Though the director and film team have maintained that the movie is not about IAS officer late D K Ravi, the movie has certainly evoked enough attention with Sathish playing an IAS officer with striking similarities to late Ravi in the trailer.

With three days to go for the release on Feb 22, the distributors acquiring the distribution right for good amount shows the confidence about the content and making of the movie, for a guaranteed success.

Actor Neenasam Satish who is looking forward for the release of his latest film Beautiful Manasugalu directed by Jayatheertha has silently signed a new film called Chambal.

Chambal will see Sathish in a white collar role as a IAS officer and it is alleged that it is inspired by IAS officer late D K Ravi. However, makers are tight lipped about the Ravi connection with the movie. Lucia ran for 70 days after it released, and with the kind of hype and anticipation around Chambal, Movieland is set to witness another century run.

ಡಿ.ಕೆ.ರವಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದವರು. ದೊಡ್ಡ ಹೆಸರು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಕೋಲಾರದಲ್ಲಿ. ನಂತರ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ತೆರಿಗೆ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ಭ್ರಷ್ಟರಲ್ಲಿ ನಡುಕ ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ್ದವು. ಅಷ್ಟೇ ನಿಗೂಢವಾಗಿ ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿದ್ದರು.

ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನಾಸಂ ಸತೀಶ್ ಪಾತ್ರದ ಹೆಸರು ಸುಭಾಶ್. ಆತನೂ ಕೋಲಾರದ ಡಿಸಿಯಾಗಿ, ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ತೆರಿಗೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಸೇಮ್ ಟು ಸೇಮ್... ನಿಗೂಢವಾಗಿ ಸತ್ತು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೆ ಸುಭಾಶ್. ಅದು ಕೊಲೆನಾ..? ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆನಾ..?

ನೀನಾಸಂ ಸತೀಶ್ ಅಭಿನಯದ ಜೇಕಬ್ ವರ್ಗಿಸ್ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದ ಚಿತ್ರ ಚಂಬಲ್, ರಿಲೀಸ್‍ಗೆ ರೆಡಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಾರ್ಪೊರೇಟ್ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಕಥೆಯಂತೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತಿರುವ ಚಂಬಲ್, ಥ್ರಿಲ್ಲರ್ ಸಿನಿಮಾ. ಈ ಸಿನಿಮಾಗೆ ನೆಟ್‍ಫ್ಲಿಕ್ಸ್‍ನವರು 10 ಕೋಟಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಖರೀದಿಸುವ ಆಫರ್ ಕೊಟ್ಟರೂ ಬೇಡ ಎಂದು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ ಥಿಯೇಟರಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿರುವ ಚಿತ್ರವಿದು. ಈ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೀಗ ಹೊಸ ಪವರ್ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದೆ. ಆ ಹೊಸ ಪವರ್ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರೋದು ಪವರ್‍ಸ್ಟಾರ್ ಪುನೀತ್ ರಾಜ್ ಕುಮಾರ್.

ಚಂಬಲ್ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಪುನೀತ್ ರಾಜ್‍ಕುಮಾರ್ ಕಂಠದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು, ಟೀಸರ್‍ನಲ್ಲಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಇಡೀ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪುನೀತ್ ಧ್ವನಿ ಇರಲಿದೆಯಂತೆ. ರಾಜರಥ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಪುನೀತ್ ಧ್ವನಿ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಪೃಥ್ವಿ, ಸವಾರಿ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಡೈರೆಕ್ಷನ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಜೇಕಬ್ ವರ್ಗಿಸ್, ಚಿತ್ರದ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕರಲ್ಲೂ ಒಬ್ಬರು. ಸೋನು ಗೌಡ, ಕಿಶೋರ್ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಅಯೋಗ್ಯ ಹಿಟ್ ಆದ ಖುಷಿಯಲ್ಲಿರೋ ನೀನಾಸಂ ಸತೀಶ್, ಚಂಬಲ್ ಚಿತ್ರದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಗೆ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಚಂಬಲ್ ವಿಶೇಷ ಸಿನಿಮಾ. ಇದುವರೆಗೆ ನೀನಾಸಂ ಸತೀಶ್‍ರನ್ನು ನೋಡದೇ ಇರುವ ಲುಕ್ ಈ ಚಿತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಕಥೆ ಕೂಡಾ ಡಿಫರೆಂಟ್. ಈಗ ಆ ಖುಷಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಖುಷಿ ಸೇರಿದೆ.

ಚಂಬಲ್ ಚಿತ್ರದ ತಮಿಳು ವರ್ಷನ್‍ನ್ನು ರಜನಿಕಾಂತ್ ಅಳಿಯ, ಸ್ಟಾರ್ ನಟ ಧನುಷ್ ಪ್ರಮೋಟ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಪವರ್‍ಸ್ಟಾರ್ ಪುನೀತ್ ರಾಜ್‍ಕುಮಾರ್ ಧ್ವನಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈಗ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಧನುಷ್ ಬೆಂಬಲವೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದೆ. ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆ, ಉತ್ತಮ ಬಾಂಧವ್ಯದ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಇದೊಂದು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ ನೀನಾಸಂ ಸತೀಶ್.

ಚಂಬಲ್ ಚಿತ್ರದ ನಾಯಕಿ ಸೋನು ಗೌಡ. ಜೇಕಬ್ ವರ್ಗಿಸ್ ಅವರ ಹೆಸರು ಕೇಳಿಯೇ ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಈ ಚೆಲುವೆಗೆ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರು ಸೆಟ್‍ಗೆ ಹೋದಾಗ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಶಾಕ್ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರಂತೆ. ಹೀರೋಯಿನ್ ಎಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ಗ್ಲಾಮರ್ ಇರುತ್ತಲ್ವಾ..? ಆದರೆ, ಸೆಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಹೋದವರಿಗೆ ಗ್ಲಾಮರ್ ಟಚ್ ಇರಲಿ, ನಾರ್ಮಲ್ ಮೇಕಪ್ಪನ್ನು ಕೂಡಾ ತೆಗೆಸಿದ್ದರಂತೆ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಜೇಕಬ್.
