Ram Gopal Verma has announced that he has settled the dispute with Veerappan's wife Muthulakshmi and the film Killing Veerappan will release on December 11. Last week Muthulakshmi had announced that she had got a stay on the release of the film from a court in Bengaluru. This upset the release schedule of the film.

Other Kannada films were also affected as they were planning to avoid the big film. Muthulakshmi had said that she had given permission to RGV to make the film on Veerappan only in Hindi but it is also being made in Kannada affecting her.

But RGV has announced that the issue has been amicably settled. The details of this settlement has not been revealed by either parties. But for fans of Shivanna it is a big relief. There were rumours that his other film Shivlingu would be released before Killing Veerappan. Now that speculation is put to rest.
