Puneeth Rajakumar starrer 'James' was launched earlier this year. After the first schedule, the shooting was halted because of Corona and lockdown. Now, as things are slowly coming to normalcy, the shooting for 'James' is all set to resume on the 13th of October.

This time, well known stunt masters Ram-Lakshman have been roped in for choreographing stunts for the film. The Ram-Lakshman duo have already composed fights for many films in Kannada.

'James' is directed by Chethan of 'Bahaddur' and 'Bharjari' fame. Chethan has also written the story, screenplay and dialogues for the film apart from directing it. Kishore Pathikonda is the producer

Puneeth Rajakumar's new film 'Natasarvabhowa'  has created a record of sorts. The trailer of the film was released today morning and within a span of 15 minutes, the film has managed to get one lakh views which is not only new for Kannada film industry, but also is a new record.

'Natasarvabhowma' is being produced by senior producer Rockline Venkatesh. Pawan Wodeyar  has written the story, screenplay and dialogues apart from directing the film. Vaidhi is the cameraman, while D Imaan is the music director.

Chikkanna, Ravishankar, Achyuth Kumar, B Saroja Devi and others in prominent roles. Actress Rachita Ram is the heroine of the film.

If everything had gone as expected, then the 'Yuvaratna' team had planned a pre-release event in Mysore on Saturday night (March 20th). However, the event was postponed due to various reasons and now the team will be visiting various major cities in Karnataka for three days and will be promoting the event.

The team has already gone to Gulbarga on Sunday morning, where it will be meeting fans at10.30 AM beside Asian Mall, after which the team will be visiting Belgaum and Hubli today. In the next two days, the team will be visiting Bellary, Chitradurga, Tumkur, Mysore and Mandya and will be meeting fans in the respective cities.

'Yuvaratna' is all set to release on the first of April and the trailer of the film has already been released on Saturday afternoon. The film which talks about the privatisation of education system in India stars Puneeth Rajakumar, Prakash Rai, Dhananjay, Diganth, Sayesh Sehgal and others in prominent roles. The film is written and directed by Santhosh Anandaram, who had earlier directed 'Mr and Mrs Ramachari' and 'Rajakumara'

With big movies lining up release this summer, respective filmmakers have been busy releasing the teasers and now it's the turn of Karunada Chakravarthy and Sandalwood's one and only Hat-trick hero Dr. Shivarajkumar. The teaser of his upcoming film Drona will be launched by his younger brother, the Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar on Sunday evening.

Shivanna will be seen as a school teacher, as the film aims at throwing light on the present educational system. Directed by Pramod Chakravarthi, the film stars Shivanna and actress Iniya alongside others including Swathi Sharma, Rangayana Raghu, V Manohar, Sadhu Kokila and many more

Well known Telugu actor Junior NTR has sung a Kannada song for Puneeth starrer 'Chakravyuha' in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Actor Puneeth Rajakumar as well as music director S S Thaman was present at the occasion.

'Chakravyuha' is being produced by Lohith (grandson of B Raghupathi) and is being directed by Sharavanan who had earlier directed 'Engeyum Eppodum'. Sharavanan himself has written the story and screenplay for the film.

The shooting for the film is almost complete and Rachita Ram plays heroine to Puneeth. Actor Arun son of well known Tamil artiste Vijaykumar, plays a negative role in this film.

Soori is ready with his latest film 'Kendasampige - Part 2 - Ginimari Case' and the trailer of the film was released on Saturday by Puneeth Rajkumar at the Renukamba Digital Theater in Bangalore.

'Kendasampige' stars Vicky and Manvita Harish in lead roles. The film is based on a story written by Surendranath fondly known as ETV Soori in 1997. The film is being produced by Parimala Talkies and V Harikrishna is the music director while Satya Hegade is the cameraman.

The trailer launch was attended by Yogaraj Bhatt, Jayanth Kaikini, Surendranath, Shashidhar Adapa, Rajesh Nataranga, Govindu and others. Puneeth Rajkumar arrived late and released the trailer officially.

Puneeth's destiny to become God 

It seems like Puneeth Rajkumar was destined to become a God. It is bizarrely strange that his role in Lucky Man fits the bill for what could have been a planned swansong. Puneeth in this role makes all his fans emotional for sure. 

Luckyman is a love story with a difference. It starts with a divorce and goes on to showcase how friendship and love are two different things and both of which needs constant nurturing. 

When Arjun (Darling Krishna) and Anu (Sangeetha Sringeri) apply for divorce after just one year of marriage, God literally intervenes. What looks like an impossible relationship is given a second chance. How does Arjun handle his relationships differently forms the rest of the story. 

The story has originality to keep the audience engaged, good dialogues to keep the proceedings entertaining and depth of characterization to make it believable. For example Rangayana Raghu's character is given a back story (even if not visually) that adds to the understanding of the protagonist. 

The performances of the actors are top class. Darling Krishna is exceptional and this is one of his best performances. Debutant director Nagendra Prasad manages to utilize all the resources at his disposal to the best possible extent. 

Even though this film is a remake, nothing seems to be out of place. It is too good a story and therefore carries an universal appeal. The screenplay is tight and falters a bit only in a couple of scenes. The film has an almost perfect template. This is one of the rare films where so many things fall into the right place. You hardly find anything to complain about. 

Fans of Puneeth Rajkumar can watch the film just for him. The first half of the film is enough to satisfy them. The post interval is a bonus. This is a lucky film for Kannada fans.

Puneeth Rajkumar's daughters Drithi and Vanditha on Friday evening released the audio of 'Mythri' starring Mohan Lal and Puneeth Rajkumar in a special appearance. Music Maestro Ilayaraja has composed the songs for the film had come to Bangalore for the audio release. In his presence Drithi and Vanditha released the songs of the film which has been released by Anand Audio.

'Mythri' audio release witnessed the likes of Puneeth Rajkumar and Ilayraja sharing a stage together for the first time. Apart from Puneeth and Ilayaraja, directors Soori, Shashank, Nagshekhar, Giriraj, producer Vajreshwari Kumar and others were present at the occasion.

Director Nandakishore who has his hands full already with four films is all set to direct a new film for Puneeth Rajkumar. The film will be produced by Kanakapura Srinivas and Srikanth.

Earlier, Srinivas and Srikanth was supposed to produced a film called 'Mayura' with Puneeth in the lead role. The film was also launched at the ISKCON a few years back. However, the project was shelved with director Shobhan's sad demise. Now Puneeth has given the dates to Srinivas and Srikanth once again and the duo has roped in Nandakishore to direct the film.

Though the film has been announced, the film is likely to be launched later this year as Puneeth is busy with his prior commitments.

Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar is back with a spirited performance in a never seen avatar of his in decades long acting career. With an apt title such as Natasaarvabhowma, the movie is a revenge saga with numerous twists in the tale which keep the audience guessing right till the end.

Plus, it comes with power packed dancing numbers - Dance with Appu and Open The Bottle in Appu's signature style which is one of the highlights of this high spirited venture by Pavan Wadeyar.

It has a simple story line of a journalist, portrayed by Puneeth Rajkumar, who lands in Bengaluru and encounters with a corrupt central minister and his associate, a lawyer, for a reason. 

Soon, unforced circumstances results in the protagonist suffering from mental illness! Is it an act of a spirit, ghost or a devil leaves everyone haunting while power star shines yet again with his remarkable performance, which also justifies the title of the movie.

Pavan has done an outstanding job in keeping it effective despite a simplest plot of a revenge saga. Shot beautifully with the mix of essential commercial ingredients, Rachitha Ram, Chikkanna, Ravishankar add value to the script with top notch performances. Anupama Parameswaran, who makes her debut in this one makes the audience fall in love with her short and effective portrayal of an important role.

D Imman peps it up with dancing numbers along with a couple of soothing romantic ones. A perfect weekend entertainment for all the fans and especially for the family audience and a must for the Puneeth fans. Just go dance with Appu as the spirits are high for a wholesome entertainment.

Even as major violence erupted in the beautiful city of Kolkata due to bandh, the entire team of ‘Natasaarvabhowma’ starring Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar who were there in the city fortunately managed to wrap up their last day of shoot before they returned to namma Bengaluru this morning.

Speaking about Kolkata shoot, Pavan Wadeyar says, “Amidst bandh, we managed to complete the shoot. In fact on the last due to bandh the city roads were empty which otherwise is buzzing round the clock. It was a plus for us to wrap up the shoot quickly. It's a beautiful city and we shot some major talky portion involving Appu sir and Anupama Parameswaran.”

Her further adds that the beauty of Kolkata is that sunrises as early as 5.30 and sets by 5.30, which is a perfect situation to shoot. “We had great time shooting for over a week with Appu sir and the entire team comprising of 48 members who flew from our State, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Apart from an important climax portion, we have two songs left for shooting which we are planning to shoot abroad,” says Pavan.

He signs off saying he is in search of an untouched foreign location for Natasaarvabhowma. 

Puneeth Rajkumar sure has his hands full with many films. But which among the lined up films will he be taking next is the question on everybody's lips. Puneeth says only 'Dodmane Huduga' has been finalised as of now and the other projects are still in the initial stage.

'I have been hearing many stories and I might accept some films, but they are all in the initial stage. As of now 'Ranavikrama' is in the dubbing stage and the dubbing will start soon. Soori's 'Dodmane Huduga' might start from the 05th of April. After that I might take up Saravanan's film, which will be followed by Vijaykumar's film. Only after that the rest will follow' says Puneeth.

Recently 'Bahaddur' fame Chethan Kumar had announced that his next film 'James' will be starring Puneeth Rajkumar. Even Santhosh Anandram was looking forward to work with Puneeth in his second film. Jayanna had announced a film with Puneeth and Shivarajkumar. With Puneeth's schedule being very tight, looks like all the three films will have to wait for at least an year.

The title song of Sharan's new film Jai Maruti 800 is sung by Puneeth. The song 'Rama Banta Hanumanu' will be one of the biggest highlights of the film says director Harsha. Puneeth had also sung the title song of Sharan's Adyaksha directed by Nanda Kishore and the song had become a sensational hit.

Jai Maruti 800 is produced by Jayanna-Bhogendra and has Sharan, Shruti Hariharan and Shubha Poonja in the lead roles.

Actor Puneeth Rajakumar along with well known Tamil actors Vishal, Karthik and Arya are all set to release the audio of 'Rakshasi' being directed by Ashraf. The audio release and trailer launch is scheduled on 4th October at the Dr B R Ambedkar Stadium in Basaveshwaranagar. Apart from four well known heroes, South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce and Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce presidents H D Gangaraju and Thomas D'Souza will attend the function as chief guests.

'Rakshasi' stars Navarasan, Sindhu Lokanath, G K Reddy, Kuri Prathap, Ugram Manju and others.

The final schedule of the film Raajkumara starring Puneeth Rajkumar has started in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Among the actors who have gone to Kuala Lumpur for shooting for Puneeth and Tamil actor Sharat Kumar.

The film also stars Prakash Rai, Chikkanna, Sadhu Kokila, Rangayana Raghu and Rockline Sudhakara. The film directed by Santhosh Anandram of Mr & Mrs Ramachari fame is expected to release in December. Principal shooting of the film started in April this year in New Zealand. Portions of the film have been shot in Bengaluru and Mysuru.

With the last schedule that is expected to last a week, the film will go into post production stage immediately. Sources said it would take about a month and after that the film's official release date would be announced.

Puneeth Rajkumar starrer Ranavikrama is going great guns. According to trade analysts, on the first day of release (April 10) it has collected Rs 2.5 crore and on 11th Saturday, it saw a drop and collected about Rs 1.5 crores. But the movie has recovered  tremendously on Sunday managing to collect nearly Rs 3.5 crores. The three-day weekend collection now stands at Rs 7.5 crore. On the first day of release some theatres had full house. On Saturday some theatres saw a drop but on Suday almost all the theatres registered full strength in collection.

Meanwhile the gold class of the film's show in Delhi was houseful on Saturday and Sunday and it is doing well in other centres also. Booking for the entire week in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Hyderabad is on. There were reports of minor problems in Bengaluru. In Swagath Inox multiplex a show was cancelled on Saturday night as the AC stopped working. After half the film, money was refunded to the audience.

Ranavikrama Movie Review

The search for newer and exotic locations for Kannada films continue. From Iceland to Cambodia, there are new locations seen in many new films. Now Puneeth's Ranavikrama is off to Italy.

Director Pavan Wadeyar after getting a visa last week boarded the flight to Italy on Saturday. He will finalise locations by the time the rest of the team arrives. This will be the last schedule for Ranavikrama produced by Jayanna and Bhogendra. The climax for the film was shot in Jindal factory in Ballary earlier this month.

Shivarajkumar who was in London for his surgery celebrated his 57th Birthday with wife Geetha and Brother Puneeth Rajkumar there. Fans all around performed homa's and pooja's for Shivanna's speedy recovery and is eagerly awaiting for the actor to return back home.

Recently, Ace Cricketer Anil Kumble Met Shivarajkumar in London on Shivaan's Birthday and wished the actor a speedy recovery.

The South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) is facing a backlash from the Kannada film industry for ignoring it even though the event is happening in Bengaluru for the first time.

SIIMA awards are usually held abroad where only the winners and sponsors participate. This time, it was claimed that the awards will be held in Bengaluru, the home of Kannada film industry, in memory of Puneeth Rajkumar. 

But surprisingly, SIIMA organizers sent 25 passes to the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) as a perfunctory measure and did not bother to engage the industry in any way. The Kannada Film Producers Association for example was not even informed as a courtesy, let alone its functionaries being invited. 

Even the Karnataka Government gives annual film awards. The entire industry is invited to participate. Private entertainment channels also hold film awards and the industry representative bodies like KFCC, KFPA, Artistes Association and Directors Association are invited. Even when journalists conduct awards functions like Chandanavana Film Critics Academy Awards, the film industry is represented from all wings. 

SIIMA however is aloof. The question that requires an answer is; When you are holding a function in the name of Puneeth Rajkumar, why are you ignoring the Kannada film industry. Puneeth Rajkumar was also a producer, mentor and a pillar of the Kannada Film Industry. When a private organisation is holding a function in his name, the least it can do is involve the Kannada film industry in it.
