Gurunandan's 'First Rank Raju' recently completed 100 days and the team celebrated the success, by handing over the trophies to artistes and technicians who have worked for the film.

'First Rank Raju' 100 days celebrations was held at the Chowdaiah Memorial Hall on Monday. Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce president Sa Ra Govindu and Raghavendra Rajakumar came over as chief guests and handed over the trophies

Jaijagadish, Vijayalakshmi Singh, Sudha Belawadi, Nagatihalli Chandrashekhar, Thomas D'Souza, Ba Ma Harish, Gangavathi Pranesh, Vinay Rajakumar, Ajay, Shashank, Gurunandan, Apoorva Gowda and others were also present at the occasion.

Gurunandan starrer 'First Rank Raju' which was released in 2015 is all set to be screened today afternoon as a part of 'Belli Cinema Belli Maathu' organised by the Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy.

The screening is organised at the Chamundeshwari Studios in Millers Road in Bangalore. Director Naresh Kumar, producer Manjunath, Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy president S V Rajendra Singh Babu and others will be present during the occasion.

Actor-producer Raghavendra Rajakumar says he is very much ready to promote 'First Rank Raju' and has told the film team to call him, if they need him for the promotion. Raghavendra Rajakumar was speaking after launching the audio of the film which is directed by newcomer Naresh and produced by Manjunath.

'I have watched the film recently and is in full awe of the film. It is really a nice concept and such films must be watched and promoted by everybody. I am ready to promote the film and if there is any need for promotion from my side, please don't hesitate to call me' said Raghavendra Rajakumar.

Vinay Rajakumar, Gurunandan and others were present at the occasion.

Ricky movie starring Rakshith Shetty, Haripriya which was supposed to get released in Tribhuvan has been shifted to Abhinaya theater in the last moment. Ricky movie had announced Tribhuvan where First Rank Raju movie was running. As the collection of the First Rank Raju was good Ricky team decided to shift Ricky movie to Abhinaya.

Looks like the month of November will create a history of sorts in the Kannada film industry. Already nearly 10 films have been released in the past 20 days. This week six more films will be released making the month with highest number of releases.

This week Satish Neenasam's 'Rocket' will be released in Anupama and other theaters across Karnataka. Apart from 'Rocket', 'First Rank Raju', 'The Plan', 'Alone', 'Pattabhisheka' and a Tulu film by Kodlu Ramakrishna is all set to be released.

Of the six, 'Rocket' and 'First Rank Raju' have created a lot of hype among the film buffs.

With an unique title such as 'Swartharatna’, this is a tale of a self-centered person. But, what happens when such a personality sheds his selfish character for the one he loves, is the result of this almost two hours of entertainment mixed with humor and the much needed lessons for life.

Ashwin Kodange, who co-directed one of the most popular Kannada movie in the recent times, First Rank Raju, makes an honest effort as the director of this one in bringing the two most essential aspects of life - love and selflessness.

This ‘selfish gem’ revolves around the potagonists and two leading ladies. In the first half, the man falls in love with a girl, who unlike him, is a person with compassionate heart and someone who cares for others and finds happiness through her social services. The crisp and quirky dialogues adds some fun in the first half, as Adarsh Gunduraj who makes his debut as hero, tries to impress the girl played by Ishitha.

The selfish tale takes a twist when the selfless girl goes missing. This is when the protagonist starts changing his attitude towards life when he goes in search of her, and finds only her letters which literally puts him on the right path. 

As the search continues, the man encounters another girl played by Sneha Singh who falls in love with him. In between, the maker signifies another important aspect which is sacrifice, and to stay content with what life offers to one in the end.

A fun filled journey of selfish person to a selfless one makes it a worth watch.
