Ananthnag and Radhika Chetan starrer 'Hottegagi Genu Battegagi' has been given a 'U' certificate from the Regional Board of Film Certification and with the certificate in hand, the makers are planning to release the film in the month of May.

'Hottegagi Genu Battegagi' is being produced by Sudarshan, Ramamurthy and Harish Sherigar. Narendra Babu himself has written the story, screenplay and dialogues of the film apart from directing it.

Well known Hindusthani singer Ramachandra Hadapad has composed the music for the film. P K H Doss is the cameraman.

Ananth Nag and Lakshmi who is one of the best pairs Kannada film industry has seen, is back once again with Kodlu Ramakrishna's new film 'March 22'. The duo were last seen in a film called 'Shivakasi', but the film didn't get released. Before that, their last film was 'Amma' directed by D Rajendra Babu.

The roles of Ananth Nag and Lakshmi are not yet revealed and both the artistes will be joining the set from the first week of January.

The film has a huge star cast including Jai Jagadish, Vinaya Prasad, Sharath Lohitashwa, Ravi Kale, Sadhu Kokila, Padmaja Rao, Ashish Vidhyarthi and others. Apart from seniors, Aryavardhan, Kiran Raj, Chidanand, Meghasri and Deepthi Shetty are making their debut through this film.

The shooting for Vijayalakshmi Singh's new directorial film 'Yaana' is almost completely and now the latest news is Ananth Nag and Suhasini are all set to act together in the film.

Ananth Nag and Suhasini have acted in many films includingg 'Hosa Neeru', 'Stumble' annd others. After a long gap Ananth Nag and Suhasini are acting together in 'Yaana'.

Vijayalakshmi Singh and Jaijagadish's daughters Vaibhavi, Vainidhi and Vaisiri are the heroines of this film. The film marks the debut of new three heroes Sumukha, Abhishek and Chakravarthy. Suhas Gangadhar is the screenplay writer, while Simple Suni has written the dialogues for the film. 

The film is being produced by Harish Sherigar and Sharmila Sherigar. Karam Chawla is in charge of the camera, while Joshua Sridhar is the music director.

Rishab Shetty had earlier said that he won't be acting as a hero in his next film 'Rudraprayaga', but had not announced who will be playing the hero in the film. Now Ananth Nag has been roped in as the hero of Rishab Shetty's new directorial venture 'Rudraprayaga'.

Recently, Rishab Shetty has narrated the story of 'Rudraprayaga' to Ananth Nag. The veteran actor was very much impressed and has given a go ahead to act in the film. The film revolves around only nine characters, out of which two are lead characters. There is a female lead for Ananth Nag and the selection is in process.

The shooting for 'Rudraprayaga' will start from the month of December. The shooting will be held in Uttarkhand, Belgaum, Khanapur and other places for 55 days. More than 90 percent of the shooting will be held near Belgaum. The film is being produced by Jayanna and Bhogendra.

Veteran actor Ananth Nag who is celebrating his 71st birthday today has turned brand ambassador of Ogara products. The actor will be endorsing the Brand's products from now.

Veteran actor Ananth Nag on Saturday night released the songs of 'Gowdru Hotel' which is a remake of Malayalam hit 'Ustad Hotel'. The songs of the film have been composed by well known music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, son of Music Maestro Ilayaraja.

Apart from Ananth Nag, Gayathri Ananthi Nag, Yogi Dwarkish, Sihikahi Chandru and others were present at the occasion.

'Gowdru Hotel' is being directed by Pon Kumar, while Satish Reddy, Ramesh Shiva and Satyan are producing the film. Mammootty's son Dulqer Salman had made his debut in the original, while Rachan Chandra is making debut in the Kannada version of 'Ustaad Hotel

Ananth Nag has translated a lyrics from the film Hottegaagi Genu Batttegaagi into English. The English translation has to be given to the Dubai Embassy because the song will be shot in that country next week.

Anant Nag told director Narendra Babu that he will translate the lyrics himself and did it just fine. In fact Babu says that the translation is as good as any original poetry can get.

Actor Ananth Nag who is busy with his acting commitments has given voice over for Shivarajakumar's new film 'Kavacha' which is all set to hit the screens on the 05th of April. Ananth Nag will be taking the film forward by telling the story.

This is not the first time, that Ananth Nag has given voice over for any film. The actor had given voice over to to 'KGF' trailer, which had become a huge hit. Now Ananth Nag has done his bit for Shivarajakumar's film.

Ananthnag says that his 45 year dream has been fulfilled through his latest film Godhi Banna Sadharana Maikattu. When I was in Mumbai I had seen a play called 'Death of aSalesman' by Arthur Miller. I was very much fascinated by role of William Loman.

I wanted to do that character and even told my mentor regarding that. However, he said that I need more maturity to do the role. From that time I was craving to do that role. I got a similar role in 'Godhi Banna Sadharana Maikattu' said Ananthnag.

Ananthnag said the response to the film is not overwhelming but also unanimous. He said, this is the first time that he is getting an unanimous feedback for his role in all these years.

Veteran actor Ananthnag has said that his latest release Godhi Banna Sadharana Maikattu is not the remake of Marathi film Asthu. When asked about his comments about the film being tagged as the remake of 'Asthu',

Ananth Nag rubbished the rumours saying that the film has nothing to do with the Marathi film except for the fact that both the films are based on Alzheimer.

'Mohan Agashe who has done the lead role in the Marathi film is a friend of mine and he had called up the other day to enquire about the film is a remake or not. I have not seen the film and asked him the story, After hearing the story of the film, I said to him that the film has nothing to do with the Marathi film except for Alzheimer' said Ananth Nag.

Even director Hemanth Rao says he showed the film to the Marathi makers sometime back and the Marathi makers themselves has confirmed that the two films are not the same

Godhi Banna Saadarana Maikattu has turned out to be one of the best films to come out of Sandalwood, not just this year but in many years. It has a simple story but profound meaning in all aspects.

The blending of so many sentiments like a father-son relation, love in the time of crisis, transformation of a villain,a householder's petty but deeply felt life could not have been done better. In a style mixes realistic and commercial director Hemanth Rao has given Kannada a great film indeed.

Rakshit Shetty plays a single man caught up in a rat race and no time for his father. His father who is suffering from Alzheimer's goes missing. But it is not just the search for the father. The son also rediscovers the father's love he has missed for years. He also finds love. A villain finds purpose for life. So many characters rediscover their lives. The audience discovers a beautiful film. We can identify with every character. Even characters that come for a scene also make an impact.

The film is a bit slow in a few places but otherwise makes for an immersive watch. There is brilliant acting by Anant Nag, Achyutha and Vashista. Rakshit Shetty and Sruthi Hariharan fill life to their characters. The songs are only in montages and make an impact. Don't miss this film for anything.

Rakshith Signs Godhi Banna Sadharana Maikattu

Director Narendra Babu who directed Kabbadi and Santeyalli Ninta Kabeera earlier is back. This time he is not handling a serious subject but will be turning to comedy. He has said that the new film he is directing will be a mass entertainer.

Anant Nag will play the lead role in the film. The film is expected to start shooting this month and the title of the film will be released in one week. Babu said the details of the other cast members and crew will also be announced in a week.

The first schedule of Rishi-Roshini Prakash starrer 'Kavalu Daari' has been completed and many scenes starring Ananth Nag was shot in the first schedule. The team has given a break and the shooting for the film will resume soon.

'Kavalu Daari' is a thriller and is being directed by Hemanth Rao of 'Godhi Banna Sadharana Maikattu' fame. Hemanth  himself has written the story and screenplay for the film. 

The film is being produced by Ashwini Puneeth Rajakumar under the PRK Productions banner. Charan Raj is the music director, while Advaitha Gurumurthy is the cameraman. 

Ananthnag starrer 'Plus' which has created a lot of hype among the viewers has been censored with an 'U/A' certificate. The Regional Board of Film Certification watched the film on Friday and has given a green signal by for the release.

The film marks the return of director Gadda Vijay back to direction after 'Dyavre'. The film was launched last year and the songs of the film composed by B J Bharath were released by Ananthnag recently.
